Friendly and personable staff, always smiling and enjoy their jobs! Makes the biggest difference. Y Play staff are amazing with my son as well, I can workout guilt free thanks to them! The facility equipment and layout could use an upgrade. Some of the attachments are worn out, the flooring is slightly warped upstairs, and the mirror space is LACKING. I would also like more leg oriented equipment like a hack squat, dead lift platform, etc. I think a reorganization would do them well upstairs to maximize mirror and workout space.Despite my critiques, it's worth it to know I'm in a family oriented community and that my son is safe during my time there.

I have been a member of the Y for years. It is, by far, the best overall value when it comes to varied exercise and opportunities for fitness. Partly because it offers so much in the way of classes, swimming, strength training etc, but also because it’s available in so many locations . I work downtown, and swim laps at Fogelman and reside in Cordova and attend Zumba and Yoga classes at the Cordova Y three days a week. Recently, I was out of town on the East Coast and was able to exercise at the Y there. They are all over the country and welcoming everywhere.Aside from the financial value is the value of the down to earth, diverse community of people that I’ve met and become friends with through my classes there. I enjoy working out there because everyone is a regular person like me!

Great place for exercise since it's not a far walk from where I work, although it's a little disheartening that I'm not allowed to bring my mermaid tail for safety reasons, but I can understand that. Otherwise, I love the atmosphere!

I enjoyed working out on the different equipment and the walking track. Our Grandchildren enjoyed the pool while visiting us this summer. Last but not least, I love how clean the place is! Great place to join for all the family! ❤️❤️

No communication.... No Basketball Goals (They removed them during Covid) and from the looks of things they have no intentions on put them back up because only BLACKS ask for basketball court. The Pool... don't bother coming to the pool during water aerobics the adults pushed the kids to the shallow end they pretty much take over the pool. My 12 year wasn't pleased at all. It was our first day going was told by lifeguards that children must take a swim test or wear a life jacket in 90 degree weather. It was a waste of my time and money.

Truck was stolen and the staff was just like “oh yeah that’s been happening a lot,” well gee, thanks for the warning guys.Car theft is time sensitive so thankfully the y only took TWO DAYS to finally review the camera footage. The director said she needed time to review the footage, but when we finally sat down so she could show me, she hadn’t even looked at it. The director then showed me a video of me parking and was like “this it being driven away,” if she would’ve taken an extra 3 seconds, she would’ve seen me park.I had to physically take her phone and scroll through the footage myself while fending her off because she was arguing that I was not parking. Then I finally found the footage of my car being stolen. Thanks for the help guys.I don’t blame the ymca for my truck being stolen, but I do blame them for not caring about their members and essentially helping me when they felt like it.This gym has been going downhill for awhile but I keep trying to come every once in a while for “old times sake”Maybe sentiment is overrated

This location is not all bad, but it most definitely needs better assistance with customer service and fixing situations. I will be cancelling my membership very soon due to the last and final straw of an incident that recently happened which could have been handled better. I joined because of the child care, an indoor track, and being able to exercise and bond with my teenage kids. Unfortunately, this last incident was a final straw for me and staying at the YMCA. I have found another gym that has the same amenities.Pros: Indoor track, pool, and child careCons: Some staff is friendly vs. all of the staff; not as customer focused when issues arise; not all staff is trained or knowledgeable of their rules, policies, and procedures; snack machines are always broken so if you want a Gatorade, you better make sure to bring extra to drink

We just came to the ymca and one lady did not let us in because she said it was closed for training. But one of my other friends came in 5 minutes before us and were let in. I don’t know why they said this to us but we hope they discriminate again.

I’m getting real tired of this location. Every time I come here it’s always an issue. When you have to leave a gym just to go get something to drink due to the machines being unavailable and there’s always an issue with the pool. Why would I continue to pay for a membership when I cant utilize the damn facility? Definitely canceling my membership asap!
