About Tazewell Pike/Gibbs Convenience Center - Knox County Solid Waste
Convenience Centers are Knox County owned self-service residential waste and recycling drop-off facilities that accept less than one small pickup truck bed (5x8) load of waste per day. There are no user fees but only residents from Knox County can bring their own wastes. Businesses are not allowed to dump their waste and will be redirected to a paid disposal facilities. Residents with Household Hazardous Waste, such as oil based paints, solvents, rechargeable batteries, chemicals, etc, will be redirected to a Household Hazardous Waste Facility on 1033 Elm Street.

Have all the bins needed for recycling and a spot for metal or tires , batteries and compactor for large items nice and convenient

I like this dump as opposed to Halls because its smaller and I usually stop here before going to visit a relative afterwards.

Happy to have this collection Center in our neighborhood. They have recycle bins and they take metal and oil.
