Pickwick Landing State Park covers 1,416 acres of forested hills and hollows, offering great opportunities for hiking and outdoor adventures. Water activities are popular here, including boating, swimming, recreational fishing, and tournament fishing, with a beautiful lake as the centerpiece. The park features a variety of lodging and camping options with scenic views of the water, though some camping sites could benefit from updates. Visitors can enjoy picnics along the riverside, feeding ducks, exploring the old cemetery, or relaxing at picnic areas near the swim spots. There are playgrounds for children, and the park is well-maintained, with clean toilets and a nicely kept golf course that impresses visitors. The park also has an aviary, which is highly recommended. While some areas, such as the asphalt pads at the campsites, need renovation, the overall environment is beautiful and well-kept, making it a favorite destination for outdoor recreation and family fun.
Beautiful state park the information center was very nice. The ranger that was there was very informative. They recently had a ice storm so was clearing out trees. There is alot to see here.

Absolutely beautiful, but know where your going before heading out as It's a little hard to find. Has camping areas, swimming areas, picnic areas and a few birds. The park is huge, and the water is amazing, just watch for boats and the under tow.
