went in to this store advertising newly remodled. It look like a disaster, the shelves were bare, it looked like they were going out of business. I asked a clerk if they were closing and he said what was I looking for I told him the items I was looking for and out of the 6 items I was looking for they only had 1 item I needed, it was on a clearance rack and they tried to charge me full price , I had to get mgr involved to get item for advertised price clerk was rude at the register. There are other Dollar general stores in the area and none of them are this bad. Do not Shop at this store Main Street Dickson Tn

I'm always in the Dollar store several times a week. Prices are increasing considerably I still shop even though.

It's go to place for my bathroom things and household things and pet things, phone things. I guess it's everything there you want or need.clothes and Food too. I love our dollar store.

I'm guessing the "general" part of their name refers to the fact that you can get all kinds of general items there. "Dollar" used to refer to the fact that a lot of their items cost only a dollar, but that was in the 1970s. A lot of their stuff is cheaper than average, which is great for some things and not others. For instance, the towels they sell tend to leave tiny bits of themselves on the rest of my laundry, so that's no good, but the laundry basket I got there is mighty fine.
