When cleaning out things from my parents stuff we found 3 savings bonds for me and I havd it cash one in the other day they hadn’t done one but they were happy to help me with it and we all learned how to do it and what was needed to cash it in. I have to turn the other 2 in today because I’m going to be out of work for a family emergency and I can’t wait to go back to them to get my bonds cashed out by them.

I checked their hours online yesterday and it showed they close at 5:30. I pulled up and the two lanes closest to the building showed "open" in bright green, but when I got to the window the teller rudely said "we're closed". It was 5:03. I told her that their Google search shows 5:30 and two lanes were still showing open. She said "I know, but we closed at 5:00". Apparently they are aware that their hours are wrong on Google, but don't bother correcting them. I drove from Ringgold and accomplished nothing. She didn't seem to care.

Out of all the customer service departments I have ever spoken to, Smartbank has to have the most friendly people I have encountered over the phone. I don't care when I have called, they have been friendly and very helpful. Keep the southern hospitality coming, you guys and gals are great!

I banked at Cornerstone Community Bank for 16 years, they were bought by Smart Bank a few years ago and I have had nothing but bad experiences ever since. Doing anything is like an act of Congress and the majority of the employees are just unfriendly. As much of a pain as it is, I am moving all of my accounts to a different bank. I am tired of dealing with a bank who acts like I’m lucky for allowing them to hold my money, that’s not how things are supposed to work.

As a business owner, my advice would be to look elsewhere. This bank offers no real support or empathy towards business owners. Went through much red tape and paperwork and headache to be told no for no apparent reason. literally lied to on multiple occasions costing me thousands of dollars. yet amazingly my requests and needs were instantly handled at another institution. the bankers here (not the tellers, but the bankers) seem to have no clue what it means to own a business, only what they have read in books. Smartbank is trying to be a big player and a bigger bank than they actually are. which is why i went elsewhere.

My company uses this bank for their payroll... After many months of cashing checks here and always being harassed to open an account, I reluctantly did.I opened an account with my girlfriend and did just the 50 dollar minimum(thank God). Several weeks went by and we never even activated the card. She had a bill that was due and I told her to activate her card and use some from that. She activated her debit card, and tried to use it.... Insufficient funds! How could this be? With an inactivate debit card?I go to this branch, I explain my frustration... I am told that I will have to go "online" to fix the issue.If I wanted an online bank I would have chosen a bigger better one.This bank is incompetent and constantly having security breaches.Do not trust your money with D*** bank.When I get my cash back I will close the account and never do any business with them,again.
