“Awesome staff! Hot products, cool prices!

The only thing is it is unfortunate that the community doesn't embrace the ACO process. It is an 'assisted check-out store', not fully a self check-out like Walmart who has hundreds of employees. There are elderly folk in the area who shop here and appreciate and ask daily to be assisted and then there are those middle aged adults who come and complain about being helped. The theft in this community is also at great levels and the staff are under appreciated for taking the proper safety measures for their customers and staff. Once, a guy who stole was in store threatening an employee for no reason with a gun by his side screaming through the store looking for the associate who had hid, who had done nothing other than assisting him at check-out. Therefore, the management here have to do all they can to protect the staff with no support from the neighboring school or community. Especially, for those they employee that are under age like the associate who was threatened is. The parking for Five Below is a shared lot of 20 or less spots shared with PetSense next door, who also have elderly customers that request the front spots in the shared lot be open, unused and available for dropping their pets off and picking them up. The high school next door hosts home ball games and events without consulting the businesses across the street about them. Even parking in the stores fire lanes and back exits used for emergencies and trash removal. Their freight trucks can't get in and out and get stuck in the lot at times! The ball games bring a lot of people who attend and are inconsiderate of others; for instance the staff at these times have no where to park causing them to be late to their shifts or cause them to have to park across streets at other places and at closing hours or on overnight shifts, making this a safety risk for those who work and shop here. There are no light poles in the parking lot to attach any caution tape or signs to, for ensuring something they could possibly hang something on to asking for others who are not shopping to not park there. Ingles has a few fixtures to do this from but not their whole lot and the store manager there has complained about the parking of attendees to the events as well; as it causes elderly and everyone trying to pickup their food or medications from the pharmacy to have no where to do this because the lot is full. The high school coach and athletics director, who has been contacted on many occasions, simply stated to the businesses to contact towing. Unfortunately, no one will come out due to not having a lot big enough to house all those who violate the requests to not park in the privately owned lot. This causes the staff to have to go to the lengths of blocking the entrances to their lots just because the community simply put does not care! The store it's self is beautiful, reasonably priced and attentive to everyone's needs. No matter who they are! Sadly, not everyone understands the processes they must take just to remain safe for their clientele and employees. There are people living in the back of the store, people throwing and dumping their trash in the dumpsters or diving for expired goods, they even had to put locks on them because of this and those in the dumpsters horrifying the staff when they go to remove trash from the business at night or even in broad daylight. It is crazy how this community under appreciates this location and those around it. The police who have been contacted agree but say this has been an issue for businesses for over 15 years and they can't get anything done about it. It has even caused businesses to go under, such as small businesses too. Losing sales goals etc, due to their visitors having no where to park. The community should do better and expect no more than they give. To leave a review about something so absurd like the one above is just nonsense. Others should truly think before they post. Have the day you so deserve!”
