Just when you think you have heard it all, a young clerk surprises you with unexplainable reasoning.
Wes, last night's store clerk refused to sell my daughter and I alcohol. And here is the reason. We both went in, she got a box of drinks and I asked her to get me a single beer with her drinks as I had left my wallet in the car ( wife was driving so no DUI worries, lol). Her hands were full with the box of drinks so I carried the single can to the register. First thing Wes said was "I need to see both your IDs". I did laugh at the request but to avoid the situation I put my beer back and figured I would either do without or ask my wife, the sober driver, to go in with her ID and buy a beer. After returning the beer to the cooler, I saw my daughter leaving empty handed. When asked why, she told me Wes refused to sell her the drinks because I had carried the can to the counter and since I didn't have an ID she couldn't buy alcohol either. Maybe I have become old and senile but this interaction made no sense. If the owner or Wes can explain, I am all ears.
Couple of last thoughts. My daughter is 24 years old and a fantastic young woman. But, because of her " I left my ID in the car 64 year old Dad" she was refused her intended purchase. Once again, if you all can explain the reasoning, I am listening.
As a very good friend of mine stated last night with the 24 years I served in the Army in mind, "I served Wes, so he could refuse to serve me". Fully understand no ID, no alcohol. But, to refuse my daughter because I carried a beer can to the counter is idiotic.
Area consumers, AVOID this place and let it falter and become " Dust in the Wind", thanks Kansas for the quote and song?

The manager is a hateful old hag, been going there for years but since she has taken over il avoid all over priced roadrunners and drive an extra exit down to food city or Walmart, you lost at least 100$ a week customer, this location just needs to close down a d take her with it
