I really love this little bistro. It's a bit out the way whenever I am in Memphis, but I make it a point to stop at Pepper and grab something on the go or dine-in for dinner. I had the French Mustard Chicken Thighs and Brandy Sweet Potato Pie. It was all delicious. The bistro is sort of rustic. It appears to be a work in progress, but I look forward to dining again very soon. Oh yes, try the Lavender and Earl Grey Tea cookies when you visit!

First time trying the pepper bistro. Cute, eclectic restaurant in the tiny town of Galloway, TN. We had reservations for 1pm, but we were the only people there. They presented a lengthy lunch menu, but was disappointed to hear that they were only serving four items, two of which were burgers. I had wanted to try one of the quiches. We both order the burgers; one was the French Bistro burger with sautéed mushrooms and a Gorgonzola aioli, the other was a traditional American cheese burger with pimento cheese. Both were served with fries. Be prepared, the French Bistro burger is big and kind of messy. If you are on the fence about Gorgonzola slip it. The aioli is quite strong and very not for those who don't like blue cheeses. The owner and Chef, Diana, came out to greet us and offered a piece of lemon pound cake, on the house. Most pound cake is served cold or room temperature. This was served slightly warm with a lemon glaze. Quite delicious! We plan to go back for dinner and hope that there are more options. The dinner menu looks fantastic!

We had a great time dining at Pepper. The owner was a wonderful soul that made sure we were taken care of. The food was amazing! This is a nice little getaway spot, can't wait to go back!

Valentines Day Special Menu. The highlight was the appetizer. It went down from there. Claims to cook “fresh” but there were obvious frozen, canned, and boxed ingredients used in the dishes, poorly seasoned and overcooked. Claims French inspired but did not experience that in anything but portion sizes and wait time. There were good ideas behind the menu, but did not come through in the presentation.

Spent $125 per person for Valentines dinner.. advertised as a prix fix menu including champagne .. ONE glass. Very disappointed that the 3 courses included a basic salad with beets, “lobster spaghetti”.. literally spaghetti noodles with basic sauce and a couple chunks of lobster, dessert?... we waited 40 minutes for dessert before we decided to leave without the dessert. We were one of many couples who finally walked out. As people who have worked in the restaurant industry and support local businesses, we hung around as long as we could. One star given only because zero stars was not an option.
