Was not sure about this place at first but after our visit we’re quite pleased. Even our team daughters enjoyed this place so much fun so many things to do once you get to the top. Food and care they take of the facilities is apparent and the single rail mountain coaster was an absolute blast the hour and 45 minute wait in line was not but was worth it.

Awesome experience at Anakeesta this week. We took our 2 grandsons (8 and 11) and they had a blast. There are some add on activities available, ( zipline, coaster) but they did not participate in those and still had a great time. My wife has some mobility issues, but we were still able to walk around the village and see all of the wonderful views. There are a number of places to eat, and what appears to be decent restaurant with great views. Look for discount ticket sales before you go, it was actually pretty reasonable for what it was. You can ride the chair lift or gondola to the top… or there is a bus that you can ride up or down. There were a lot of people, but it did not feel crowded.

They stole my IPhone14 Pro Max. Was jostled on the lift and it fell out of my pocket. I tracked it with my wife’s phone and they said they recover them all the time. I asked if I could retrieve it myself as I had the exact location next to an access road. I then tracked it as it was recovered. Taken up the hill and then back down to their offices. No phone call to us to return. I called admin offices two days later and spoke to a very rude service rep and they informed me they didn’t have it. I calmly explained that I had tracked it and they basically told me there’s nothing I can do. I will be filing a police report and except the phone be returned. SEE PHOTOS OF TRACKING! Those were taken from my wife’s phone the day after the phone was lost. The location is inaccessible to anyone other than Anakeesta employees.

Definitely a must if visiting Gatlinburg. You can spend all day at the top. The views are amazing.

. BUY TICKETS ONLINE IN ADVANCE . Long long line.. Hours. You can only pay to park for 10 hours at a time. And if youre staying longer.. you have to go back down the ski lift or ridge rambler and then wait another 1-3 hours in line to get back up....also there are 3 lines in the beginning. Even though it looks a mess. One line is for the tickets(left side), the middle one is for the ski lift (this is usually the longest), and one line on the far right is for the rambler and will get you there way faster than the chair lift. You can always do the lift on the way down instead. Wichever way you choose.. make sure youre in the correct line!!

Beautiful park, with lots of fun places to explore! Amazing 360 degree views of the mountains around. We had a great time, although I will say most of the activities up on the mountain have extra cost, so something to consider. Our younger kids had a great time doing all the free activities but older kids may not be as enthusiastic. We opted to just explore the free stuff which included treehouse playhouses, slides, and the nature walk across the bridges which was fun when they were lit up at night. If you’re looking for a more outdoorsy adventure this would be up your alley.

We visited the park on the 25th March. I bought 4 tickets for my family, plus two coaster passes online the day before. We arrived at 11 O’clock to find a couple of hundred people all waiting at the entrance to get up the mountain. People were very confused about which queue to join. The sign above the Chondola queue said there was a 120 minute wait and the Ridge Rambler sign said 60 mins. We were told by one of the attendants that the Ridge Rambler would indeed be quicker, so we joined that queue. When it got to 12 O’clock, another member of staff informed everyone that the park would be closing at 5pm and there would be no Astra Lumina! We had waited the 60 mins as per the sign and were still only half way to the front of the line!To add to the frustration, the chondola actually got people up there before the rambler. At this point we would have left, enjoyed the rest of the day in Gatlinburg and come back the next day. However, this was not possible as Anakeesta tickets lock you down to a specific day! Now, if tickets are sold for a specific day, then surely it would be smarter and more efficient to set a limit on numbers admitted so that crowd sizes are managed and visitors can get up there and enjoy the park with minimal fuss and reasonable wait times. When we finally managed to get up there, it was about 1:20. We were tired and hungry from all the queueing, so we went to get some food from the Hepcourt café. Billed as ‘Quick’, it took an HOUR to get our food. So, at this point we had only two and a half hours left. We saw that no-one was standing at the Hellcoaster desk, so we went up to it only to be told there was a wait time of an hour and forty five minutes! We were also advised by other people that it was best to leave a bit early to avoid queues to get back down. And, amazingly, people were still coming up. Why, when the park was closing at 5 without any advance notice, were people still being sold tickets? And if they had already purchased them, shouldn’t the staff have informed them and honored those tickets for another day? Or were we just misinformed by the staff and the park really was staying open past 5? Very poor customer service, in my opinion. We paid $200 for a fun 8 hour excursion and what we got was excruciating queues, early closing and reduced attractions. We were really looking forward to our day in Gatlinburg and it was completely ruined. We just couldn’t wait to get out of there. Now, to be fair, Anakeesta is a very cool place with stunning views, but it seems to be poorly managed. Take my advice and get there before it opens and make sure all the attractions are in service.

Very poor experience both in the park and with administration after a phone fell out of my husbands pocket after being jostled on the chair lift. There is very little to do on the mountain except spend additional money in gift shops, and restaurants. The view was impressive and the 5 minute tree walk amusing but not nearly worth the price of admission. Speaking to administration in an attempt to recover the phone was useless. They assured us they would recover the phone as the staff does daily recovery walks for such items. I showed them the exact location using Apple “FindMy” which was right next to a loading platform and easy to get to. They would not let me up the hill to recover ourselves and it’s now we are leaving for home several hundred miles away. We can still see the phone location on the hill and could have played a sound to help locate but the battery will soon die. Administration is now unresponsive to us. A very expensive and frustrating experience. We spent $200 on 4 admissions and lost an $1200 device with no help whatsoever. Overall very disappointed. Save your money and enjoy the mountains on your own in the parks.

Understaffing caused closed attractions. The weather wasn’t the best but it really cleared up nice mid morning and was in the mid 50’s. The Hell Bender coaster was closed all day as well as all the slides and multiple levels of the tree top play area. Staff stated it was due to not having people to work those attractions which is disappointing when you have already paid for the tickets. Interestingly, the stores had plenty of staffing as they put out new merchandise. At 2pm the restaurant had over an hour wait “because staff was on break” (per someone asking why there was so many open tables with the long wait). We ended up leaving and getting lunch in town. The night lights were ok, certainly not something we would do again.Of course to their credit, the views are great and the lift ride is relaxing. We also saw multiple bears from a distance throughout the day.

This place is beautiful and well kept. However, I think it's overpriced for a family. Once we arrived to the top of the mountain we were met with rude staff member. The mountain coaster were a 2 1/2 hour wait, zip lines were closed and all the slides were closed. You have to pay extra for the coaster and light walk at night. We came last year and waited in line for 4 hours to not make it up because it was too busy. The tree top walkways were fun. The views are unbelievable. I think our expectations were set too high. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Looooved this place! My fiancé and I went later in the evening because we bought add on tickets for the Astra Lumina show. Before we went to that, we did the Treetop walk (beautiful with the lights at night) and went to the tower— after riding up in a skylift of course. I will say that saving the Astra Lumina show for last was worth it. It surpassed both of our expectations! It was so beautiful. Highly recommend.

Wish I had read the one star reviews before coming here because I agree! Underwhelming and overpriced for sure. Skip this place. We waited an hour to go up the chair lift and after doing maybe 20 minutes of activities there was nothing else to do. My kids said it was boring. We didn’t want to wait 2 hours for a 30 second coaster ride or 2 hours for a minute of ziplining. How is that fun? Then we thought we would get some ice cream but didn’t want to wait in line behind 50 people. We left after an hour wishing we had just not come here at all.

We had a fun day at Anakeesta despite a ton of closings due to weather. We finally made it to astra lumina and found that had just been closed as well. Jackie and Kieran made everything awesome with their great attitudes and willingness to help us sort things out to come back!! It was a long day with weather problems and lines but Anakeesta has hospitality nailed down with their staff.

Only 1:45pm and they are out of pizza, chicken, steak, quesadillas. Basically anything my kids would eat. Overpriced for what it is.
