The fraternity of south Florida corporate reality and the government used Covid to weaken us and take advantage of the native Florida people. Thanks to the geo political slime of the USA my 30 years of work has turned the landlord here into a slob and me and my kids can’t make a deal with the people in the office who barely speak English and hate Americans and are about to be homeless to their delight so they can collect big down payments from big families with big cash payments yet they refuse to make a deal with me! Biden America wow dreams really do come true!

FRAUDULENT COMPANY STAY AWAY !MOVED OUT AND THEN BILLED FOR THE MONTH THAT I MOVED OUT FOR NO REASON FOR MANAGER'S PERSONAL REVENGE. OLDTOWN SCOTTSDALE, DAWN WILLIAMS & HER "PET" SCOTT MAINTENANCE GUY THAT SHE SPIES ON RESIDENTS. THIS SCAM IS SO DEEP, EVEN THE COLLECTION COMPANY THEY USE IS FRAUDULENT NATIONALCREDITSYSTEMS . POSSIBLY THEY USE THIS COMPANY TO TRAP & MAKE EXTRA MONEY OF OFF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE THAT LIVE IN MULTI STATE OWNED PROPERTIES. I ALREADYFILED COMPLAINT TO A GOVERNMENT AGENCY. FURTHER ACTIONS NEEDS TO BE TAKEN VIA FTC & FBI. POSSIBLE CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT WAITING TO HAPPEN.

I recently had a deeply concerning experience with Post Afton Oaks that compelled me to share my story. On July,10 I was shocked to that maintenance man had entered my apartment without my permission and took money from my belongings. Despite reporting the incident to the management, they completely shirked any responsibility for the theft. This breach of privacy and negligence of the management are simply unacceptable. As a resident, I expect to feel safe and secure in my own home, but this incident shattered that sense of security. The fact that the apartment management failed to take immediate action or offer any assistance reflects poorly on their professionalism and duty of care towards their tenants.I strongly advise potential renters to think twice before considering Post Afton Oaks as their future home. If this incident can happen to me, it can happen to anyone. It is clear that the apartment management Victor Rodriguez, Jolante Roberts, Crystal Bradford and any of their staff lacks proper protocols and fails to prioritize the safety and well-being of their residents.Furthermore, I believe it is crucial for potential renters to understand their rights and be aware of the local laws regarding unauthorized entry and theft. I have since sought legal advice and pursued appropriate action to hold the responsible parties accountable. In conclusion, experience at Post Afton Oaks was marred by a severe breach of privacy and unprofessional behavior from the management. I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale and encourages individuals to carefully consider their options when choosing an apartment. That's incorrect nobody has contacted me for this matter when I went in person to speak to manger Victor R.he requested more time for and investigation that later ended in an email denying any resposability. I have also requested for maintenance guys name to be reveled as well as any camera footage I can give to Police and have not heard from anyone. Everytime we ask to speak to manager he is in "vacation" "online meeting" or out of the office. I need someone to take action I need MAA properties to take accountability for letting someone into my apartment without any notification, email, call when I requested for no one to go in unless I was at the property.

This place has been god awful at doing something as simple as returning a security deposit. My final return amount was made the day i moved out 3/15/2023. It is currently 4/28/2023, i reached out to speak with corporate 4/10/2023 about my security deposit when I was going back over my paper and saw they put in the incorrect house number, i gave the correct one at move out. So my local apartments updated the address and told me it would be another 15-30 days after 4/24/2023 for my to receive my deposit. Legally you have 30 days unless and error was on the consumers end. It was not. I called today to speak with their corporate help number and the First Lady was helpful but randomly hung up on me after having a conversation with another person on another line. I do not believe this was her fault as she did say she was going to see if she could hang up on them without hanging up on me. However, she never called me back. So I called again, the new lady I spoke to could not even find the apartment I lived at despite being given the name and address multiple times. I am giving MAA until 05/05/2023, or I will be suing. Finally gave me my deposit back 05/04/2023

BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES! Quick, there is a named storm a coming. Code everything to Casualty LOSS!!Your previously shared guidance is a smoke screen. Just like your press release in Oct 2021...ESG...yeah ?The Whistleblower submission system and whistleblower policy are a joke.Their internal controls are non-existent, and their ethics training is for show. Many of the items outlined below were reported to them in April and September 2021, and they should have addressed the concerns outlined. They even prevented communication with the ER office by blocking emails. They seem like a community & culture of risk-takers. They have a beautiful new headquarters with a nice little break room with great snacks; I believe they also have the Jonestown brand Flavor-Aid.They must have a very skilled and large IT team. They hired a Senior VP of IT operations that spent a great deal of time working for EY. It did not appear he had previous IT experience. When other companies were hacked a few years back, their IT team supposedly stopped this before any of the thousands of resident files and information was stolen.Their senior employees are long-tenured, and their CEO is so good at property management that the board of directors made him the board’s chairman. The board said it was because of his vast 30 years of experience in property management. Even though most experts do not recommend this, the CEO is so good that the board felt it would be a good idea. They had two firms review their financial statements, so they appear to be genuine. Their EVP of general counsel seems crafty; He has been working for “the company” for 20 + years as well. (Since at least 2005, while at previous firms that reviewed MAA's financials and created case studies on transactions at MAA).MAA appears to have its own self-managed insurance "program.” They changed the wording in their financials in 2009 from company to "program." Somehow, they still negotiate their casualty insurance rates every year. Am I allowed to tell people that I have insurance and then instead pay for it if I have an accident? It does not work that way. How can you manage your own insurance program? They must have the best casualty insurance in the world; you do not have to send the damage to the insurance company. The insurance company appears to reimburse them, no questions asked. In 2021, almost 30 million dollars of damage was reimbursed because of what the storm Uri did. Not to mention there were all the costs of COVID-19-related items. If you are one of the lucky ones with a flood in your apartment or bedroom, they do not have a proper water remediation program that was witnessed. Most of the time, they clean up the flood with residential dehumidifiers and bleach. MAA will also instruct you to call your renters insurance because it is just apartment living, and they are not responsible for personal belongings. When residents move in, MAA states that safety is their responsibility. Of course, it is part of fair housing, even if they have a broken gate.MAA’s Insurance "Program” also must cover all breed restrictions because they do not even ask for proof that a resident’s renters’ insurance covers restricted breeds. They do not even check your last place of residency for reference. A Pitbull could have previously attacked a neighbor, and that resident was asked to move out. Now, this animal lives at MAA’s apartments, and no one even knows the animal was potentially aggressive. All the grills at their properties work very well. They all must be appropriately vented, and their grill maintenance program must be strictly followed. I am sure there have been no significant suits regarding MAA’s grills. I guess they must be unaware that there is an issue. The COO retired at 53 in Dec 2022. The press release stated this was a “planned retirement.” Even let him go without a proper replacement. Two current executives filled in the gaps. They also have an ever-growing ESG program, according to their press release in October 2021.Seems legit?

The corporate office is nonexistent. They don't reply to emails, phone calls, letters, bbb complaints. They have an answering service who relays messages but you never hear back. Yet they claim they offer stellar customer service. Absolutely a joke. Stay away from MAA properties. My complex went downhill after they took over as property mangers. Not to mention the rent they charge is ridiculous for the service you receive. I've had an apartment damaged by water and it's been partially uninhabitable for over a month yet i still have to pay the full price for an apartment when i could only live in one room of my two bedroom apartment. I asked for a credit. Nope. I repeat. Stay away!

MAA, take its whistleblower complaints very seriously. Their internal controls are rock solid. A great deal of this was reported to them in April and September 2021, and they did everything they could to help address the concerns outlined. You cannot keep anything from them. They even prevented me from communicating with the ER team, those rascals.Great, ethical company. Competent people with great ideas. True risk-takers. Beautiful headquarters with a nice little break room with great snacks; believe they also have the Jonestown brand Flavor-Aid.They have a very skilled and robust IT team. You cannot get anything past their IT team; they are bright and on top of everything. When other companies were hacked a few years back, their amazing IT team was able to stop this before any of the thousands of resident files in their system or other information was stolen. Excellent job, MAA. They hired a Senior VP of IT operations that spent a great deal of time working for EY. So, he knows what he is doing--the fantastic team at MAA.Their senior employees are long-tenured, and their CEO is so good at property management that the board of directors made him the board's chairman. They said it was because of his vast 30 years of experience in property management. Even though most experts do not recommend this, MAA is so good at what they do that the board could not resist.Their financials and transactions are definitely legit. They had two law firms review them, so you know they are real. Their EVP of general counsel is also brilliant and crafty; He has been working for the company for 20 + years as well. (Since at least 2003 while at previous firms that reviewed MAA's financials).I thought they were self-insured for casualty? Thankfully, MAA has its own insurance "program." They changed the wording in their financials in 2009 from company to "program." Still, they negotiate their casualty insurance rates every year. The company or program has some of the best casualty insurance ever seen. You do not have to send the information to the insurance company; they pay it out. In 2021, almost 30 million dollars of damage was reimbursed because of what that named storm did. Oh, that storm Uri, did so much damage; I remember all my flowers had frost on them. Not to mention the costs of COVID-19-related items. When residents move in, MAA states that safety is their responsibility. Of course, it is part of fair housing. They are so bright that MAA...MAA's Insurance "Program" also must cover all breed restrictions because they do not even ask for proof that a resident's renters' insurance covers restricted breeds. They are such a great company. It is excellent, though, because MAA does not even check your last apartment for reference. A Pitbull could have previously attacked a neighbor, and that resident was asked to move out--such a tremendous ethical company. All the grills at their properties work very well. They are all appropriately vented, and their grill maintenance program is strictly followed. The grills flamed up so high and bright. You could cook your food very fast.If you are one of the lucky ones with a flood in your apartment, MAA is there to help. They use some of the most advanced tools in the industry. Their water remediation program is unlike anything that has ever been seen in the industry. They may help clean up the flood by having their adequately trained maintenance team dry the flood and complete a thorough check for possible hazards. MAA will also instruct you to call your renters insurance because it is just apartment living. They also care about their employees. The COO did so well that he could retire at 53. They even let him go without a proper replacement. The press release stated this was a "planned retirement." They are very friendly to help him retire at such a young age. They are a fantastic company. Unfortunately, they do not offer most employees stock options. That is ok, though; most of their employees cannot think for themselves. MAA tells them wha

Update: just saw MAA on fox13 news and I felt disgusted by what this company does to our and other communities. Artificially increasing prices and making the rich richer is what this company is after. Will NOT ever work for you.Original review:I applied and phone interviewed for an IT position roughly 5 months ago, went through an extensive 2-hour online screening and only today I received the official rejection email… It is sad to find out that MAA is not considerable of their candidate's time; a simple, timely “no, thank you” email would be much better than sending me something after 5 months because this move makes me not want to apply again. Anyhow, I am not going to "1-star" my review like most do but rather leave 2 stars off for future recruitment improvement because MAA needs it.

I am BEYOND appalled by the way I have been treated by MAA. I have had my rent randomly threatened to be raised in the middle of my contract, I have been rudely emailed and told that the property I lived at could make more money with me out of the unit (after 5+ years of zero problems and on time payments!!!) and when I decided to move after 5 years — I found out that they changed the fine print on my lease without making me aware increasing what I owe them by thousands of dollars. I’m disgusted by MAA. They are the epitome of why you shouldn’t rent an apartment. There is no customer service or customer care. They will treat you like dirt. If you see MAA on a sign, take my advice and RUN!

This company is terrible! Do not rent from them! So many terrible reviews, I should have know. I have an issue with the local rental office and I have called multiple times to the corporate office with no return call. DO NOT believe anything the local rental people tell you! They will bold face lie to your face to get you to sign a lease agreement. Then when you have an issue, good luck getting them to return your call. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT LEASE FROM THIS COMPANY
