I gave up on another post office and drove here. So. Much. Better. If you happen to be a little ways west of here, drive the extra 10 minutes and give yourself a better experience. Friendly & quick.

In a time when every post office seems horrible, I had the pleasure of a great experience. Breanna at the Germantown Post Office was absolutely a joy! She was not only extremely helpful but as pleasant as she could be! Beanna gives hope to the Postal Service!

The old lady with the white hair is rude. I’m just now leaving the location. It’s Friday….2pm. I would give her 0 stars if I could for her nasty attitude. I had to ask if they had any large envelopes & with the rudest tone (and I think she was showing off because there was two other people there) she says “go stand in line” and she wasn’t even helping anyone. It takes ONE second to answer a question. For her age, she should have patience and know how to talk to people. I think she told the African woman to click on the green smiley face and give them a 5 star review because when I was checking out and paying, she quickly made sure she did the rating. Why would she give a green smiley face and 5 star and NOT give me the chance to even do it? I’m the customer, it’s asking ME how I felt the service was. The old lady knew she was wrong and wanted to quickly cover up for it. But she forgot that Google reviews exist too. :) disgusting !

This post office is lucky to have coworkers like Laurie. Today, July 23, 2025 around 11:30 am there were a lot of customers in the post office. Although there were some other postal workers there, she practically alone served everybody. She was fast, focused, professional and kind. Thank you Laurie.

Systems are always down. They have 3 self serve stations which is really convenient…. When they work! Which is not often. The staff have been friendly… but this place does not function well at all. Germantown needs to work out how to get more funds to this place to get it operating the way it should! disappointing

Its time to give up on this local post office.
I beg you please...please do not visit this post office. Half the time, the lobby machines are down. They close 2 and 3... 4 hours early even though the hours indicate a close time of 7:00PM. You will drive all the way there, not to be able to ship an item, it's happened to me a dozen times, I just don't learn.
For the possibility of you having a wonderful day and not having the manager and the counter staff second from the left waste your time and patience every damn visit, avoid this postal location even if it means driving to Collierville or White Station.
The staff at this post office know if they can scare you away, their workload will be less, let's help them achieve that goal of an empty lobby. FYI...all the counter staff hate the management.

I’ve never left a review before but Ms. Amy deserves one. Trying to get a first time passport has been a very difficult process. I drove from Nashville to Germantown to see if I could get it done and I did. Such an easy process and the folks there are very kind and helpful. Thank you Ms. Amy!

My son went to renew his passport, on a Tuesday at 11:00 during their advertised hours to do walk-in renewals. There were 4 employees present and he was told that they would not help him because they were understaffed. If you are going to say a service is available it needs to be available. They only have this service once a week for 3 hours and they had 4 employees there. In what grossly incompetent world can you not manage work distribution to accommodate a planned service with 4 employees present? Things like this are why FedEx and UPS are successfull. He went straight over to the Post Office at 3735 Hickory Hill Road and was walking out finished by 12:13 pm. He said they were way more helpful than Germantown.

There is a super wonderful lady named Breana that works at the Germantown location. . She’s usually at the far left of the customer service counter. Breana has a friendly attitude and demeanor, always a smile on her face!!!

Called to confirm that my package was there. They said they would close right at 5. Arrived at 4:52 and they had already closed. Tried calling upon arrival and no one was there to answer. Unacceptable,

This location s opens at 8:30a. I got out the line as the third person waiting because they hadn’t opened by 8:35. I went to the self-serve kiosk, but realized I needed tape. Got back in the line. Saw two employees at the desk doing something with the computer at the desk . I definitely understand if they could not serve us due to computer issues, but to not say anything to a line full of people (8 people in line by 8:50)and no employee said anything to acknowledge us waiting or be kind enough to let us know what’s going on… Just disrespectful and awful customer service. I left! I’ll go to another location!!!
