Do not patronize this business. Harassing owner, broken equipment, unmaintained stalls. Unacceptable image for our growing community.

Wow. Where do I begin? If youāre looking for a peaceful place to vacuum your car and mind your business, Markās Car Wash is definitely not it.
I pulled in, started cleaning out my car like any normal person would ā and suddenly, I was approached by this woman who looked like she was on break from auditioning for Neighborhood Watch, She came marching over in a bright pink tank top like she was about to issue a citizenās arrest⦠for attempted vacuuming.
Apparently, tossing a couple napkins and cups in the trash and trying to clean your car is a cardinal sin at this place.
Meanwhile, the vacuums barely suck, the pavement looks like it survived a small war, and the whole place gives off āforgotten by timeā energy. But hey ā if you like getting ambushed by self-appointed car wash bouncers while using outdated equipment, this might be the hidden gem youāve been looking for.
Otherwise? Hard pass. Iād rather wash my car in a muddy ditch.

The lady who owns this is actually insane! My fiancĆ© and I stopped by to clean out the car and before he even got the chance to do what we were doing she came over and started harassing us saying we needed to vacuum or wash our car. When we explained we planned on it she then commented that we werenāt āparked correctly to vacuumā and we needed to turn the car off. Mind you Iām 9 months pregnant and wasnāt planning on doing any of the work so turning the car off was not an option for me atm. She then began digging the trash we had thrown away and telling us to put it back if we didnāt plan on using her facility⦠which we were trying to explain once again that we did in fact plan on it. She then got in my fiancĆ©s face and called the police so we just left⦠I have never had an encounter like this so wasnāt really sure what to do we were both dumbfounded so we ended up just leavingš

This car wash is either hit or miss! My latest time (5/17/25) wasn't too bad, but I've been several times when it was horrible but it's the only one in Gray! Perhaps I'll open one myself in the future. I used the diy this time as the past several times the automatic washes were not even close to worth the $16 I paid- they weren't worth $6! I did attempt to let the owner know (by leaving a note with my number, the time, date and problem in the box) to please call me. It only made my car look far worse than it was when I went in! It was terrible and I was not happy! For $16 I expect decent at the least and am not a picky person (I can be but, but wasn't being so...) nor am i one to complain to a business AT ALL, even if it was not a great visit, unless it's extremely bad! It was! It was more the principal of it, it should work better than bad! It was by far the worst experience there except the time my automatic wipers came on, on their own and were ripped off of my car. Obviously my car or my own fault so i never said a word, that's on me! So i replacedit Ave it was not cheap! Again i know it was ny fault. But the bad wash job was NOT! I will not be using the automatic anymore and i did use it often, as the only place to wash it on the way to church or somewhere close by. If in Johnson City I will absolutely go elsewhere. I hate that they're all by the month now or nearly $30 for 1 time and I have to clean the inside myself. I enjoy cleaning my car because of the results but not for $30 except when it's really dirty, I'll happily pay and do whatever i need to for it to be clean. I TRULY HATE leaving this NEGATIVE review but what is the box on the door even for if they aren't following up to try to right the problems for their customers, esp the regulars! I'm giving more stars than i should this time in an effort too not pull reviews down too bad as I want to support locally but expect them to do their part!

My windshield wiper was broken by going through the car wash. (No, they werenāt on at the time.) It ended up costing me $30 rather than $10 for an express wash.

I paid for the most expensive option to wash my car. I went in to the bay and nothing turned on. I even reversed to see if that would trigger the wash, but nothing. There is no contact information to reach out if there is an issue.

I drive a 3500 dually...they have a automatic carwash that will accommodate it!!! Regular hand wash bays are always clean. The timers are fair, and it's over all appearance is clean and safe. A call in number in case there's any issues which I've never needed. Vacuums are in working order and trash cans are plentiful. Cleaning items are in a dispenser for additional purchase.

No soap as usual. Change machine takes your money and no change given. Should tear it down as it is a waste of time.

Change machine doesn't work so had to use the touchless and let me tell you touchless is right, looks like I just sprayed my car with a water hose. Save your $14 bucks and go somewhere else
