DO NOT ENTER there office. They are terrible. All about money. On 7/24/23 I went to make an appointment for a simple extraction. I was told by the office manager I "needed a treatment plan" which consisted of a full mouth X-ray. I asked the cost and was told $225. The cost of the extraction was quoted around an additional $250. I said I wasn't interested in additional work and the insisted on the examination. I departed knowing I couldn't do business with such a place.Speaking to two friends and advising of my experience, both stated that Aspen is NOT the place you wanted to get any dental work done. I must agree especially after reviewing other Reviews onine.

If I could give NO stars I would. This place ripped us off of almost 2k on our first visit (my husband and I). You cannot reach them, they reroute you to a call center. They say their phones have been messed up for 4 months now. We have missed the last 2 appointments EACH because they booked us wrong, as in we came in and they said we'd have to reschedule! I have been told by other dentist that aspen will do procedures that are unnecessary. They required us to purchase $200 toothbrushes, 3 seperate $30 products (toothpaste, rinse, etc.). They were also very rude and asked us to LEAVE when we came in for appointments and they told us they accidentally double booked us. Horrible, horrible, horrible, business practices.

My experience at Aspen was deeply disappointing. Despite the struggle to book appointments due to system issues, I was committed as they were the only local provider accepting my military insurance. However, repeated last-minute cancellations were frustrating, particularly the unreasonable expectation of returning calls within 30 minutes on weekdays. My visit started with an unnecessarily alarming consultation by a hygienist who, before even examining my teeth, discussed gum disease and its potentially fatal consequences. Despite admitting to inconsistent flossing, I've never had dental issues; I don’t smoke and had never experienced a cavity. She diagnosed advanced gingivitis and suggested ultrasonic cleaning and a follow-up kit.Contrarily, the dentist complimented my teeth's condition, focusing on an inconveniently positioned wisdom tooth and my front tooth gap. She suggested removing some long-standing fillings, but didn't mention the gingivitis the hygienist had emphasized. Upon inquiry, she seemed confused and redirected me to the front desk for more information. The checkout encounter was also unpleasant. The director quoted a $1300 cost for a wisdom tooth removal and deep cleaning, with a mandatory $135 toothbrush. When I declined this and the credit card they offered, her response was dismissive and insistent. In summary, I drove two hours, spent two at the clinic, didn't get my cleaning due to a "severe infection," faced inconsistent advice, and left with a heavy quote for treatment and a pricey toothbrush. It was a deeply unsatisfactory experience.

I would have given them a NEGATIVE 5 but that wasn’t an option!!!!!!My husband needed bridge. This process started & was told that he needed an expensive “special cleaning.” He was told he had to take a water pick and electric toothbrush for this process as well. After the cleanings, my husband drove over an hr to the dentist excited to finally get the work he needed. When he got to the office was told their system had been hacked and he would have to reschedule at a later date. My husband is the kindest person you will ever meet!! He has called numerous times & they literally hang up the phone when he asks for an appointment. Here it is months later and he has been charged almost $3000 for a cleaning, toothbrush,& water pick!!! I have worked in healthcare my entire adult life & this is NOT acceptable!! This is not good customer care service. I don’t know if this is for lack of staffing or just plain incompetence and lack of knowledge. Either way it’s disrespectful and degrading to the patients that have been treated this way. Very appalled & disgusted with their lack of bed side manner. DO NOT waste your $ find a real dental office!!

I will start with the positives: they are very friendly. Now for the negatives: very expensive, very pushy to sell items (electric toothbrush, toothpaste, oral rinse, waterpiks, and other items). They overcharged me for my service and I called to have it amended but no credit was given. I went in for insurance paid 6 month cleaning. They ended charging me just shy of $700. There was a few charges that were legit and they really pushed the toothpaste and oral rinse that I did purchase. I do not see any advantage to this toothpaste and oral rinse compared to items you can purchase at any store. Bottom line, if you go expecting to be covered by your insurance do not be surprised that when you leave that it has costed you a significant amount of money. Also, do not let them tell you they will credit your account for anything.

This place is absolutely laughable. Yes, the staff are polite but this feels like a scam. When you come in for a visit, the feeling you get is very much like an assembly line. They did lower impressions before even doing an exam, before looking at my dentures or the inside of my mouth. All I needed was a simple denture reline and was told my current dentures are junk and could not be relined. But oh, they could surely set me up with a brand new set that they make. I will be calling the dentist who made these in the morning and I guarantee he tells me these people are full of it. 2 hours and $19 wasted. Actually $20 because they didn't have change for a 20 so they put a dollar on my account. I would bet they bank on ppl not accepting their sales tactics and make a good chunk of money $19 at a time.

THEY SAVED ME TODAY! It’s Saturday and I was in SO MUCH EXCRUCIATING pain from an infected molar I could barely talk, THANK GOD we drove past here and saw cars in the parking lot, I called and they told me they were open and taking walk-ins. Went straight over there and the staff was so friendly and eager to help me! I called 15+ places in Johnson city and Kingsport yesterday and no one would get me in. The receptionist was extremely sweet and Dr. Vie and her assistant (I think her name was heather) were a god send. I was in the chair fully numb within 20 minutes and getting my tooth out. They made sure I was totally numb and put on music to help me Relax. I can not say enough positive things about this place. I’m home recovering and resting and feeling much better with MINIMAL soreness and no pain. Thank you so much aspen and Dr. Vie!!!!

I wish that I had looked at the reviews before going to this dentistry. Their billing department is incompetent. They were supposed to charge my insurance for my dentures in 2022 so that I could have the oral surgery I needed in 2023. They neglected to claim my insurance for 2022 so now I can no longer have my oral surgery that I so desperately needed. They should have corrected their error and by now I would not be in the severe pain that I'm in and I would have my dentures. After reading others reviews I wonder if I really need the surgery they say I need. I don't advise anyone to use this facility. I was very disappointed with their services.

Didn't even make it into the office. I called another location a few days ago to see if they accept my insurance, the lady I talked to didn't know the answer so she set up an appointment for me at this location and said they would call me to let me know before the appointment and if not I could cancel then, very well, that's fine. Got a text today at 12:00 telling me to call them to discuss the appointment, I called at 12:05 and was put on hold, that's fine I don't mind waiting, however I was on hold for 40 minutes just to be hung up on and when I called back they're closed, left a voicemail telling them to just cancel the appointment, I don't even care if they take my insurance anymore, I wouldn't want to be seen by such rude people.

Worst Dental experience of my life. I went in to have a crown reset that had come off at 10:30 a m they made me do X-ray's and I sat in a dental chair unattended until 11:45 they then came in and looked at the crown that needed to be glued back in and then told me they are going to go to lunch and for me to go out and sit in my car until they return from lunch. I waited until they were finished with lunch and then they spent the 15 minutes to glue my crown back on. They billed my insurance company $389.00 for this and charged me $150.00 out of pocket. The dental technician and Dentist were good. The lady that goes over your dental plan was extremely rude and condescending. So, If you care about your money, your time or the way you are treated as a patient Do Not Go To Aspen Dental!!

They were SO busy and could've been so unkind to someone like me who had major dental anxiety, but they weren't. They were understanding, so sweet and handled me better than a shot of vodka would have!Michelle at the front desk is just the kindest person. She calls everyone "My friend" and it doesn't feel fake or forced. Heather was the person who was with me when I broke down and cried. She was AMAZING at calming me, explaining everything and being the best dental assistant goddess a girl could meet!Debbie was so gentle with her tools as a hygienist and so experienced and explained eveything really well. Doctor Vie shows you everything you need to see on your x-rays, she's thorough and so sweet. You can see her smile in her eyes. The mask she wears hides nothing about her smile. As we were managing my care plan, I met Keli. Keli gets the giggles like I do at the end of the day. I love that! By the time we were done with everything, I wasn't just comfortable; I was actually having fun!Wyatt was doing some end-of-the-day tasks so he was walking around while we were talking financials and he'd come by with something funny to say or just a giant smile! You can see everyone in this office in Greeneville, TN works well together. They truly LOVE their job. I wanted to flee that building so bad and I gotta say, I'm freaky glad I didn't! You WANT to go here for dental care. These people are amazing! THANK YOU!

MONEY RACKET!!! I moved here from another state and had seen a dentist a year prior with no issues found. Aspen told me I had periodontal disease, a cavity, and a gum infection. I was set up with a very pricey treatment plan. I saw an oral surgeon and had my wisdom teeth removed a few weeks later. I told Aspen he saw no infection and they still refused to just do a basic cleaning because of my "infection". They would only follow their treatment plan prescribed. I saw a new dentist for a cleaning today and I have none of those issues. No cavities and didn't even need a deep clean. Also, my new dentist said they hear about Aspens bogus "treatment plans" all the time and everyone has gets told they have periodontal disease.
