Extremely rude staff that talks down to their customers for asking questions. Would not recommend this place if you have an ounce of self-respect.

Evendently my first post was removed I GUESS THE TRUTH HURTS. Very rude people in this branch they need to take some lessons from the one in Jonesboro. I've cut our cards up and not had a chance to close our account the 2nd time about 2 weeks ago did it for me. Especially the teller on the far right when you're facing the counter. Went the same day near Walmart and opened up a new one VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Let's see how long this one stays up HMMMMMM !!!! I'm going to screenshot this one

The ladies at the desk are extremely rude and get upset when you ask them to do their job and will immediately try to tell you no on any and everything until you question them and ask to talk to the manager only then will you actually get something done. super scandalous would not bank with these people!

The branch at 2841 East Andrew Johnson Highway in Greeneville Tn does NOT manage their ATM well. It is always out of service or no receipt tape in machine or is not working properly. Took money to atm for after hour deposit and it took money but didn’t give a receipt and wasn’t showing up on my account balance; went next morning to speak to them because had bills to pay and they instructed me to file a dispute online with a phone APP. So now waiting for money to be disputed on account deposited and the money is inaccessible until they find discretion. So before you put money into account maybe you should not use ATM to do it. Corporate headquarters is in Memphis and CEO is Bryan Jordan. Someone needs to call it to their attention how poorly the customer service is at this location. Several people have had the same occurrence and compliant.

They charge an 8 dollar fee for checks cashed if you don't have an account there. Even if the check is written on their bank. Absolutely ridiculous. Nothing but thieves here folks.

I have been a customer for 26 yrs. I have 3 accounts. Took a Farm Bureau check in to deposit , fully endorsed. worked with Terry Morelock , such a rude awful person. He continually insinuated I was a liar and a thief . I would never attempt bank fraud ! Terry Morelock went out of his way to cause every roadblock as to not allow me to deposit it. Never again, he's awful.

The wife and I have been using 1st Tennessee/1st Horizon Bank for 17 years. Management, specialists, tellers all do their best to take care of your needs, and still follow banking protocols. Most of the faces have changed over the years, but the attitude hasn't. They have earned my loyalty. If anyone out there has a negative experience make sure you state the branch you were at!!!

0-stars!!! Worst experience at any bank or credit union! I went to speak about my deceased parents mortgage. I gave Mrs Barbee all my info (death certificates, heirship, etc), she proceeded to make copies and discuss the information. Gives me her card, so I can contact her when I was ready to pay it. Go back to the bank 5 months later and she was busy. I proceeded to wait. Another gentleman (bald on top, grey hair, around 5’8”-5’-10”) approaches me. I tell him I am waiting. He says that he can help, “what did I need?” I told him I needed the statement for payoff on my late parents mortgage. Without even making it to his cubicle, he states “I can’t give you any of that information.”. So I tell him I will wait for Mrs Barbee. He then proceeded to interrupt her, while with other customers, asking her “Do you know this gentleman?!?” Which she replied No, obviously since she had only met me once. I then tell them both about the previous visit and paperwork that I had given her. She then says she can’t help, and turns back to her other customers. The gentleman states again that he can’t help. To which I replied “It seems funny that you say that so confidently considering you don’t even have the account information, or have it pulled up. He says “Why waste my time, when I know I can’t any information with you.”. So I tell him “Fine, if you don’t want to be paid, that’s your fault.” However I still needed the statement. So, I proceeded to the Asheville highway branch. Walk in, give them the account number and my drivers license, and walk out with the statement in under 5 minutes. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS BANK!!! Just like the gentleman said to me, about his time. I hope nobody banks there sir, that way you will have plenty of time... at home unemployed.

If there was anything less than one star, I'd give it. My wife just went in to cash her paycheck from a major company and keep a small amount out for the holiday weekend. They would not let her do this because "we didn't have enough in our account to cover the paycheck". If we would have had enough, she wouldn't have needed to keep money out! I am an unwilling transferee from Capital Bank and I must say my experiences with First Tennessee have all been negative. There was a reason I never did business with them for the last 40 years and now for this same reason I will be transferring to a much better banking institution. I have been in professional management for the last 35 years, so I'm not just some 'johnny come lately'. I know how "policies & procedures" are, but when a person expects to get their paycheck cashed and can't, it sure does put a damper on things. This will also probably cause a late charge to be incurred on a bill that is due today. But do they care...? Of course they do... she said, "I'm sorry but there's nothing we can do!" So, apparently she does care.... not! I didn't really like it when Capital Bank took over Greene County bank, but at least they continued to treat me and my wife as long term, good customers. I may not have been with First Tennessee long, but I would expect the same friendly, home-town treatment that I have come to expect... after all, it's MY money they are keeping and making money off of. I guess they don't look at it like that since I'm not a big investor. Well, they won't have to worry about me anymore. I will soon be making the move to a better, more customer-friendly banking institution.
