I bought slippers for a Christmas present and they were 2 different sizes. I went to return them and they said they would not take them back. They suck as a shoe store. I will not be back!!

Manager was friendly and resolved an issue had with my first visit there motivated me to wanna return to the store to buy the shoes I was after.

My family and I visited this store 9/27/2023 with my seven year old daughter to purchase new tennis shoes, winter boots, and possibly church shoes. We shopped and looked for about 45 minutes and we’re ready to check out at 8:45pm. The store closes at nine. Upon reaching the counter with two pairs of shoes, we saw a handwritten sign that said “cards only”. My daughter had a one hundred dollar bill that her grandmother had given her to shop for shoes. Her mother and I had only cash as well. I remembered hearing coins being counted earlier and asked if we couldn’t pay cash because they had already counted down their drawers. The cashier replied “we have no cash.” And motioned to the empty, open cash drawers that had been counted down prior to closing time. We had made a special trip to Greeneville to come to Shoe Dept. ( we live in Jonesborough), and I asked the cashier if she could hold the shoes until Monday when we would be back in Greeneville. She curtly replied no. So there stood my daughter, with a 100 dollar bill in her hand ready to spend it at Shoe Dept. We were turned away. Apparently American cash money doesn’t spend well anymore. We will not frequent Shoe Dept. again and will tell everyone we know to do the same. My little girl was broken hearted as she was looking forward to wearing her new shoes the next day and was excited to give the lady her money “like a grown up.”Very disappointing and frustrating when you can’t spend cash in a store for a product that is sitting there because thw employees shut down the cash drawers 15 minutes early. Any other shoe store but this one…. Here we come.

Great place to find some good deals on shoes. Not a huge store, but I really like it. Plus, the store manager took the time to jump our car after one of the kids didn't shut the door all the way and our battery died. I will definitely go back. My daughter found some awesome boots at the best price I could fine including online pricing.

Nice store. Lots of name brand shoes and some more bargain brands. Decent selection of wide shoes. Not the best for little kids shoes but have them.

It okay selection isn't as big as the mall or other shoe dept. There wasn't any sales person to help under stand why it says you get $5 off backpacks we bought said backpack then didn't get discount... One sales person there so we just left. Isn't the first time not getting a sales price at this shoe dept will start going to Johnson City.
