“This is a unique independent shop, owned by the lovely Nina who is there to warmly and sincerely welcome visitors. She has great taste in choosing things to sell that aren’t found elsewhere. From candles and incense to clothing and jewelry, from books and cards to dishware and teas. It’s a perfect place to find gifts for oneself and others. Nina spreads her buoyant energy joyously to all .”
“The staff are great, the coffee is delicious, and the inventory is so cool! We only wish they had a place to sit and visit-- the porch is manageable, but we'd come and stay awhile if we there was seating. We'll come occasionally anyway. Especially for gifts and stuff!”
“We stopped in while we waited for our candles to set (right down the road). The shop is SO cute and the owner is so sweet! She pulled out a book to give me some more insight on a crystal that I was interested in. Highly recommend!
To make a day of it go to the candle & perfume workshop (story fragrance library), check out local shops, and eat at Sam’s Sports Grill which is right on the water. Makes for the best half day!”

“Great little gift shop with stuff you won’t see any other place in Nashville as their tagline says “gifts for just about everyone” its the only place I know of that you can pick up a great candle or maybe a piece of jewelry and some great choices or gifts for children age groups under 8. Then there’s the greeting card selections from some of the most formal to the ones that might offend some folks. If you’re easily offended by the F word spelled out then you probably oughta not look on some of the card racks because that seems to be the word that is the best ones I think. And as an extra special surprise as I was paying for my purchases up behind the counter sits the 2 most well behaved and trained Boston. Terriers I’ve ever seen here are a few photos”
“Gift Horse is our “go to” place for all things gift-y and funky for the past 9 years we’ve lived in Nashville. From postcards, wrapping paper, books, mugs and local art- it’s our preferred place to shop. “The Grand Ole Opry is like nothing else if you’re a country music fan. We did the VIP tour and our tour guide, David did a phenomenal job. He was entertaining, engaging and he truly knew and exhibited the history and vibrance that is the Grand Ole Opry. Followed up by Gloria at the merch shop who did a great job checking us out and answering all our questions. Overall we had a wonderful experience with the Grand Ole Opry today and can’t wait to come back for a show.”
