As hard as this was. Randy at Sumner Funeral and Cremation made it so much easier with his compassion. understanding and fairness. I highly recommend you talk to Randy if you need the services of a funeral director. Everyone I spoke to in the office was very kind.

The folks at Sumner Funeral and Cremation, Lakeside were warm, compassionate and empathetic. They explained the process and set expectations well. They were affordable, too.

Starting at the time I walked into Sumner Funeral & Cremation to last second of the appointment I felt so at ease from so much help everyone offered and 100% confident I had made the right decision on my loved one’s service.During the hardest and saddest moment I felt like I had everything I envisioned and needed without paying as much as the rest of the funeral homes in the area charge.I was able to afford special items out of their catalogs of memorial items.A wide variety of jewelry, plaques, glass paperweights and more for family members and myself.Thank you for making the worst to really wonderful.

As we did not have any experience using a local funeral home in Hendersonville, we relied on Alive Hospice to recommend one. We were very glad to have been referred to Sumner Funeral as they worked very quickly to meet our needs and made the process effortless especially when it came to a long distance interment in upstate NY. The folks were very kind and Compassionate and helped us through a very difficult process. Thank you especially to Randy for doing all the heavy lifting and for helping us through a difficult time. You can most assuredly put your faith and your loved ones in their care. Thanks from the Kemp Family

Highly recommended by staff at our church. Very impressive from first visit to discuss arrangements through to the internment at the cemetery. My wife passed away at home and the gentleman came to pickup the body at 2:00am , dressed professionally and treated my wife’s body with utmost respect. Every step of the process was handled professionally. Even had follow up later to be sure I was handling the loss okay, with a list of resources for help if needed.

The place is beautiful! The services are very private, the staff is very accommodating and seem to genuinely care about you and your family. I was in shock and lost until I contacted Lakeside, but from that point forward things fell into place as it should. I am forever thankful for Randy and his staff!Corrie M.

My little sister passed away suddenly and my family was very distraught. We worked with Nathaniel and couldn't have been in better hands. He gave us multiple ways to contact him, answered all of our questions thoroughly, made every accommodation reasonable possible and gave us multiple options when referring us to other providers if their services were needed. Thank you for comforting and guiding us during this difficult time. We are very pleased and recommend this location, him especially.

Everyone at Austin and Bell went above and beyond to make things easy for us during this emotional time. Tom, Barbara, and Joy were always there, anytime we had a question or a request, to answer or make it happen. They work with you even afterward and give you checklist of things to take care of that most people would not remember to do. I am happy my mother chose them for her funeral needs.Shout out to Mr. Ward and Vertis too! They were always there to greet us with compassion.

Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We went in to preplan our funeral arrangements which would be out of town in MN where our family is located. There were many details to be discussed planned and put n place. Barbara took the time to help us put this plan together and work out the many difficult details with so many parts to it, being out of town, National Cemetery Burial, etc. We had many questions and concerns which Barbara and Tom worked with us to put all the plans in place. We visited with them three times plus several phone calls to work it all out. They were very patient with us and had/found out all the answers to our many questions/details. They made us feel extremely comfortable and satisfied with our final arrangements.

I wanted to commend this Austin Bell location for the compassion and understanding treatment provided to a sweet lady upon her passing. The whole team here was outstanding and the facility was so modern an update. I certainly would recommend Austin Bell to any of my family if and when the need arises for a funeral home.Thank you for what you do for families in their time of need.

Austin & Bell was wonderful to work during the most difficult time of my life. My husband passed very unexpectedly and they were so easy to work with and made the process for myself and children so easy. I would recommend Tom Bowers and his team to anyone.

We had a horrible time when we lost our son with trying to come up with the funds for his cremation ,we checked at memorial that we had experience with thinking that they would work with us & help us with a plan that we could afford because we are poor peopleI i let them know up front & they offered no comfort or agreement on the financing. They did tell me the cheapest that they were able to offer,To a poor person that was disheartening, after a few tries we called Austin & Bell,we spoke to Tom ,they had us come in to speak with them, still hurting over to sudden death of our son & now faced with not knowing what to do we told Tom & Joy of our finances Tom said they were there to help us through this and that they did they eased our hearts with their compassion. Were going later this month to start plans on our cremations with knowing that they are compassionate family to help us through the planning, Sincerely thanks to A&B & their family Tom,Joy & Gary the Chaplain
