“This is a very clean Dollar General and very friendly people that work here. We stopped in to use the restroom on the way to Kentucky and on the way back, and did a little shopping here also.
We love this Hwy 127 also as it's very scenic, and a nice drive. Very happy to have a place to stop along the way, and Viola is such a nice town as well. We love some of the holiday decorating they do.”

“Pretty average dollar general. A little messy, sometimes they’re understaffed and there may only be a couple people working but theres nothing too different or bad about it compared to other dollar generals.
Prices are average. If you’re not a picky person with ingredients, the house brand called Clover Valley is great on prices. I always get Clover Valley bread. It’s usually only $1.50 and it’s just as good as the rest so if you are fine with a cheap house brand of ingredients or food, it’s great.”
“Found just the small items I needed for a birthday, including the gift bag and lovely card. An employee even helped me choose a few items. Very friendly staff. Wide variety of items!”
“This is the cleanest dollar general Ive seen cashiers are sweet as can be.. line wasnt to long. Store was stored and clean. Huge improvenent in the last yr. I will go there again more often.”
“Lori and Amber are the employees that helped us and they were wonderful! This is the store at 1720 McArthur in Manchester. We were getting Christmas decorations cuz they had a sale and they were so helpful. And Lori checking us out made sure everything was priced right as she rang it up which we really appreciated! Thank you Lori and also thank you for being so nice! You’re awesome!”
“My favorite location and all our Dollar Generals are wonderful! Looove the people here, they are all so good hearted! Always find everything I need and more! Much love”
“This store has received some bad reviews. Let me give it another view. My elderly mother and I shop there twice a week and are treated very kindly. The store has always been stocked with what we need and provides a valuable service to the community. Thanks DG.”
“There is a Dollar General on Hwy. 55 in Manchester, TN that I visit on a regular basis. There have been weeks when I've noticed in my check book that I have stopped there on the way to the house for some little something each and every day. The location is so convenient. Everyone is so nice and polite. There is not a real quick turn over. I've seen folks come and go, but not so that you get used to them. The ones who are permanent fixtures are genuine good friend kind of folks. The product is good. If you've never given Clover Valley brand a try you might be sorry. They make the best baked beans I've ever tried...among other things. They only complaint I have is the last two times I stopped there to pick up milk, both times it has tasted funny. This may not be Dollar General's fault, but the fault of their suppliers. Still they should be aware of it and I won't be purchasing milk from them any longer.”
“Clean and friendly however not well-stocked. Often, 15 or 20 items in a row will be out especially in the medication aisle. I counted 30 or so completely empty slots just in the vitamin and medication aisle”
