Predatory lender. 1FFC sends out unsolicited "live checks" to those who haven't opted out of prescreened credit offers. These checks are real, cashable, and immediately lock the recipient into a high interest rate loan if deposited. This is all done without a credit check and is a vector for identity theft if a criminal intercepts and cashes the check in your name. Unlike many other high interest rate lenders who send out papers that look like checks in hopes you'll call or visit, again, 1FFC mails REAL CHECKS.Are these live checks legal for lenders to send? In my state, that answer appallingly is yes.I did not know this predatory lending practice existed (as I opted out of such things decades ago) until a friend showed me the check that he received and was questioning. He had no previous accounts with 1FFC. His "live check" was a loan for multiple thousands of dollars at an interest rate of over 30%. The letter contained contact information for Karen T at this specific branch in Hixson. This review is meant to be a warning to others who receive similar letters with this branch listed--yes, it's real. Yes, it's legal (here, anyway). And yes, it will lock you into a high-interest rate loan that will impact your credit report.1FFC will probably respond with how they help their customers address hard financial times, but attempting to trick people struggling financially WHO HAVE NOT APPLIED FOR A LOAN into accepting a 30%+ interest rate is predatory.

Greetings to all!!, what can i say about 1st Franklin. They are exceptional of being great people. they were friendly and very helpful to my needs. The main person that I enjoy speaking with id Heather, she is a amazing person, very humble and I can count on her to tell me the truth, when i first meet her, It was pouring down raining, she was more concern about me and my G-Baby getting wet than doing the loan.
