If I could go lower than 1 star I would. This place is the nastiest, dirtiest, most abysmal place I have ever had the displeasure of stopping. I am at a nearby hotel as I travel for work. I currently have the flu so I wanted to get some quick sore throat meds from a DG. This place was only 1.5 miles away so I decided to give it a go. Upon entering the building I thought they were going out of business. Merchandise was literally blocking the path to get in the store. I pushed my way through and started shopping. You could not get down ANY of the aisles. Empty boxes laying in the floor from stocking. The shelves were empty and looked like they have never been zoned (straightened up). I finally found my meds ( in the wrong location) and made my way to the register. It was all blocked by merchandise so I squeezed around it and waited at a register. I finally after several minutes called out and a guy said “yeah yeah I’m coming”. This is how you react to customers just trying to spend money at your establishment? As I was checking out the guy never looked up. He texted the entire time I was at the register. No Hello, no how are you. Nothing. I know this is a dollar general which has become the bottom of the barrel as far as retail, but why is bad service acceptable in today’s age. Why are lazy employees acceptable? Why are associates allowed to talk/text while on the clock. Worst store/ experience I have had in almost 7 years of travel.

Just walked all the way over there to find out they decided to close early. Must be nice to inconvenience your customers because of your poor business decisions.
