Oh where to start. Spoke with a representative more than 3 weeks ago about not being able to use the debit card. Apparently Smartbank freezes your debit card if not used in a 6 month period. The representative said she would get me a new one ordered. Three weeks later no card. Called again and spoke to Shea? The new card is pending because I had not signed a document for the card...news to me. Ever heard of a bank requiring you to sign a document to get a card replaced? Not me either. Well, she can't fix the card because only the employee who started the new card can complete ordering the new card. And who is that? No clue. Shea has to send an email asking who did the initial transaction. Shea hangs up before I can ask questions ..Frustrated yet? Call back and start asking the questions you would normally ask. How long will this take to find this person? Are you going to call me when you find them? Will you be sending an email for the signature? How long will it take to get the card? Apparently these questions were aggravating her because she immediately started acting like I needed to calm down for asking questions? I have both personal accounts at Smartbank and business accounts. Needless to say it seems like they are great at half of customers service. You get half the information you need the first time and half the next time to get something done. Meanwhile no one seems to question the process. None of this made any sense. Ill be transitioning my accounts elsewhere.

Do not bank here!!! I had a positive current balance all day on the Thursday before my check was to be deposited I was keeping an eye on it because I knew it was close because I could have took off work to go deposit more but it never showed a negative current balance. I knew my check was going in at midnight. They chargedon't me over $60 when charges didn't even process till Friday. This home town bank is not worth the trouble.
