The Wayne G. Basler Center for Physical Activity at East Tennessee State University serves as a vibrant hub for campus recreation, offering a range of indoor and outdoor facilities for ETSU students, faculty, and staff. The center features five recreational programming areas: Aquatics, Fitness & Wellness, Intramural Sports, Sport Clubs, and Outdoor Adventure, along with non-credit instruction by certified trainers. Visitors appreciate the clean environment and the friendly, helpful staff, making it easy to navigate even when busy. The gym provides a variety of activities and fitness classes, enhanced by recent upgrades. However, some reviews mention limited pool hours, issues with rental equipment, and occasional crowding, especially during peak times. While the facility promotes body positivity, some find the dress code enforcement contradictory. Overall, the center is well-regarded for its offerings and supportive atmosphere, despite a few minor concerns.

I was surprised that TV content wasn't selected. I felt uncomfortable seeing inappropriate and horror movies on screens. I know I could stare at my phone or anywhere else while running on a treadmill, but it's impossible to escape looking in front of myself completely. I am still happy with equipments and a variety of classes.
