We LOVE Eastman Credit Union! The people are always nice, helpful and are quick to get your transactions completed. We give them 10+ Stars for their customer service and products. We have been long time Credit Union members and would NEVER, EVER use a bank again. Thank you ECU for all you do!

This is the absolute most horrible bank in probably the whole state of Tennessee. The lady Michelle that works there cusses out customers. She should probably quit her day job and get a job at mcdonalds. This place doesn't even look like a real bank, it's more of a hole in the wall. Very poor customer service. This bank won't last long. I have worked with banks for over five years. Never in my life have I dealt with a bank with these poor business ethics.

I've banked here for a couple years now and have never had a problem with service. The staff are friendly and since it's a smaller bank they end up knowing you on a first name basis. Time taken in smaller banks to complete the same transactions usually take longer in my experience due to a exponentially smaller number of staff on duty but they handle your business quick and get you out while still maintaining good customer service. Not that it pertains to this location but the only downside is that there are only 3 dedicated locations in this area and two of them are very close to one another. Other than that I enjoy doing business with them and would recommend those needing bank accounts to give them a shot.

Thought I had gotten accounts with a decent bank after being given 2 different loans and not missing or being late on a single a payment, but now realize otherwise. After being denied a debt consolidation loan through them, I was forced to file for bankruptcy, after which I actually kept and reaffirmed my debt through GECU. After checking my report, they have put remarks in my holiday loan that it was discharged in my bankruptcy, but they still accept my payments and have stopped reporting the payment history on it. And show a balance for me at the branch. Can only wonder if something else shady is going on there after the fiasco with the previous head of the bank stealing money...

How can a financial institution instruct one of its members (credit union, not a bank) to utilize the GECU ATM to get cash from a Visa Cash Gift Card it Sold to another member earlier in the same day when the charge for extracting said cash from said IMPROPERLY PLACED ATM (THE ATM IS INACCESSIBLE FROM A ORDINARY VEHICLE. THE ATM CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED FROM INSIDE A LARGE TRUCK OR SUV. IF YOU ARE A "MEMBER," BE PREPARED TO PARK YOUR VEHICLE A FEW FEET AWAY FROM THE ATM, EXIT YOUR VEHICLE, REGARDLESS OF THE WORSE THUNDERSTORM OF THE SUMMER) is $2.50. Although I have inquired on 4 different occasions as to how a "member" goes about retrieving 50¢ from an ATM that only dispenses bills, GECU employees have actually REFUSED to tell me the answer to this question - apparently it is an industry trade secret, and they are willing to take this preposterous "secret" with them to the grave. I will have to spend the remainder of my life without the benefit receiving an answer from a GECU employee, because I have been notified via US Postal Service Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested, that I am not only to refrain from obtaining this knowledge, I am also no longer permitted to even visit one of the three branches of GECU because I asked thus "cents" question to the same female employee on 2 separate occasions - apparently my reserved and soft-spoken demeanor was misunderstood - from her perspective, I was to be treated as a common criminal because I asked HER SPECIFICALLY the answer this question. I've seen her at least once a week for the past decade or so that she has worked at GECU, so I find nothing strange, inappropriate and certainly not criminal about asking her - specifically - a question. EASTMAN CREDIT UNION, HERE I COME. P.S. Didn't GECU previously have either six or seven offices on various locations around the Tri-Cities? And didn't I just have to read an annoyingly persistent MANDATORY READ GECU NOTICE when logging onto online banking that GECU suffered a 1.7 Million Dollar loss because of lax accounting methods, and insufficient methods of tracking when, where, how much and how often credit union employees are able to move or otherwise obtain credit union fubds, i.e., "member" money, an official with the credit union embezzled such amount? Yep - thought so.......

The staff is friendly and helpful. The benefits they offer are very satisfactory. GECU includes very personalized service with their loan products. They worked with me tirelessly to take care of my best interests not just their own. I am disappointed in ATM access in my local area and honestly the service at the branch can be quite slow. HOWEVER...I will continue to be their customer as the benefits and personalized service are worth a smidge of inconvenience. I would recommend GECU to others.
