Nobody at the location when we arrived for insurance replacement. Guy finally shows up and says he's the only one who works there?? Tells us both cars he has available need an oil change so we can't get one until the next day. Tried to call the next day, nobody answers the phone, mailbox is full so no voicemail option. Location has the ambiance of a front for a trafficking operation. If the other driver's insurance wasn't paying for it and thus calling the shots, I'd do business with literally anybody else.

Arrived in mountains and discovered no heat. Temp was 34 degrees.Was informed I would have to take car to Tennessee to exchange. Went back home to Virginia.

I made a reservation with Hertz for a compact car and was given a minivan!! I was told compact cars weren’t an option even though they are listed on the website. They did discount the price but it still wasn’t the car I reserved.

Overall, not great. Called for 3 days to get hold of someone. Never able to reach anyone. Had to drive to the facility. Once I got there, they couldn't process my rental due to equipment failure. Took 3 more days for a call back. I then had to drive back to the facility to complete the rental process. The good is , they gave me a really nice van loaded with options. That is the only reason for the 3 stars. Probably will not use Hertz again. I rent cars monthly and this was by far the most frustrating transaction I have had with a car rental company.

Worst company to work with. They never have a vehicle to rent and you can never get a hold of anyone in the office and their voice mail is always full. If you do get a hold of someone they are of no assistance and say it will be 2-10 days before they get any vehicles in.

My wife and our little ? were in dire straits of needing a rental car fast we in Kim blew a tire on our car and had to leave it in a body shop in John’s town Tennessee it was the end of the day and we didn’t even have a hotel room yet called enterprise to no avail called hertz in kings town or something like that won’t have a car till 3oclock the following day hurts the same thing called hertz in John’s town again run around no call backs so my man in the body shop was nice enough to give us a ride to a Hilton thank god and we passed hertz on the way so I asked him to stop mind you it’s late like we’re going home now late now the good stuff there was a very very nice girl behind the counter her name is katlyn not shur on the spelling this girl was wonderful not only did she have a car waiting there but also told me who and what ever I spoke to who gave me a price of 1600 hundred dollars and only 3000 miles for the rental to Long Island and back was completely wrong and I was going to pay it because we were stuck miss Kate informed me it was only just about 800 and unlimited miles long story short if that sweet nice young lady ain’t a manager she should be and what ever wage she makes you should give that girl a raise she really did care about us as customers she’s a definite keeper maybe like an office and her name on the door keeper ok that’s our story long winded but all true thank you miss Kate from hertz Johnstown Tennessee you were a true blessing ???? thank you John Sherie and ? Harley

I won’t be renting any vehicles from this location. I wasn’t impressed with dialogue with the staff during the pickup process. Google showed that they opened at 0730 which was confirmed by the information on the front door. When I arrived at 0725 I was greeted by a worker who stated they didn’t open until 0800. I felt the staff was irritated that I showed up 5 minutes before opening based upon the information I had. Very weird customer service.

Always get dirty cars from this place. They tell me that the cars are drivable but the inside has left over wrappers from the last renter and the outside is always filthy. Why do I pay over $200 for a week rental to have to accept a dirty car? And are they really sanitized? I don’t think so.

In our town of Greeneville TN we only have one car rental option. There price was just to high for a week. I chose to go to Johnson City TN and get a rental from Hertz. I'm so glad I did!!! The price was exceptional and the truck we got was AWESOME!!!! I most definitely will be back for any car rental needs in the future. You won't go wrong with Hertz.

The man that I worked with initially was nice and accommodating. The girl who I worked with after my initial visit however was very rude for absolutely no reason. The truck I rented from them for $90/day because of a vehicle accident was dirty and smelled terrible, it was obvious it had not been cleaned between customers. They only had two car options at the time and both were very expensive.
