Maybe grab a full meal before you go here to see the show but they offer snacks and great selection of cheap beers and seltzers!Laid back atmosphere, that hosts a variety of acts and it's a great place to stop in and see what sort of art and musical performances they have going on.The bar tender is very professional and all around a very acceptable place for all walks of life :) definitely will be by again next time I'm in the area.If you love skateboarding, punk, alternative, etc! you should be going here every chance you get!Parking: Sometimes the street parking is bare but there are spots not far away and parking lots to park in near by! Maybe a five minute walk from any parking lot to this venue!

Leaving this review purely as an observer, HAD TO SAY SOMETHING. A couple days ago a minor here fainted because of low blood sugar and the response was terrible. I watched this person fight off strangers trying to force feed him water and the wrong foods for his emergency, as these ppl were telling him he was diabetic when he was insisting he was not. The people he came with (? I assume) took care of him but the bar refused to give him anything to help with the sugar crash (or simply had nothing, which is just as bad) and I watched as the bouncer lectured him not even 10 min after he fainted. Scary to watch. Staff were angry and eager to cast blame instead of attentive and trying to help him recover. Will not return, this is not the punk space they say they are.

A great spot for talented acts. Fun to play for a Hideaway audience. Speedy service and a great atmosphere. Definitely a diamond in the rough.

You know this place is pretty cool I really just didn't like the men's bathroom. The door's broken and it just smells like urine.

Super welcoming atmosphere that sets itself apart from the two bars next to it (Capone’s and Numans). If you like watching live music without the pressure of a nonstop grind fest on a possibly semen covered floor this is the place for you. You can get lost gazing at the wall of skateboard decks, art, and stickers that fill the entire room. All of the staff that I have interacted with have been super good to me and the live performances are incredible. This place would not be what it is without the performances from bands like Donnie and the Dry Heavers, Jusfine, and Grass Stains. Definitely a must visit if you are in the area. Also very LGBTQ+ friendly.

I’m giving this place a one star because I didn’t even get to experience it. I went Saturday, March 7th and it’s the first time I had been. They checked my ID and let me in, however I didn’t realize I had to pay to actually go in. I don’t go out that much and most of the bars I’ve been too doesn’t require a cover charge. I accidentally walked past where you pay and headed to the bar, next thing you know the bouncer is telling me I have to pay at the front. So I started to walk over to pay and he just says “you’ve had too much tonight you have to leave.” I said “seriously!?” I hadn’t had anything to drink yet! I just walked out and took my money with me, went to another bar. If they were as “chill” as they advertise, they would have just let me walk over and pay, honest mistake. But no, I get kicked out before I even get in.

I’m not a redneck or a country boy and so no reason for a person who doesn’t drink or spit tobacco to enter a dwelling as of this

Been frequenting 'The Hideaway' (infrequently) for about 15 years. Not sure about current conditions, but speaking as 'talent' (Jiraiya) who has worked with the club- if you want to BOOK A SHOW HERE management is A++++ X infinity. If you want to see a metal show in Tennessee, this is probably one of the best metal clubs you're going to find in east TN, (possibly the southeast U.S.-- especially in terms of band to audience intimacy) PERIOD. They *KNOW and *understand** how and who to promote to, then the right sort of organic promotion in the scene happens naturally. I just can't say enough good things about this place as a club.

My friend wanted to come here since he's into rock/metal. We were here for like 1 hour or so. Place was chill. I find it pretty awesome that everyone was wearing black in a goth/emo style. Also the place is kind of big and they also have a stage for the live bands. The bands that played that day were pretty rad I think all of them were local bands. I think it's great that this place supports local bands. I really like that they had collection of skateboards on wall. Addtionally I would've given this place a 5 star but they don't serve mixed drinks only beer which is a bummer for me. So I didn't get to drink because of that and also one of the reasons we left. They also had a cover charge which was at a decent price. Furthermore if y'all are looking for chill place I recommend trying this place out.
