We had an awful experience at this store. I would’ve given 0 stars if that were an option! We switched from another carrier to AT&T. It ended up taking going to two stores, which required four hours of driving, and being on the phone with an AT&T agent for an hour and forty-five minutes….and this was over the course of 7 days! When we left this store last Sunday, we were told our phones were active and ready to use; well, they were, for a short time. The agent on the phone this morning had to admit to me all of the mistakes that the employee at this store made. Our phone service had been suspended and something (?) was in a temporary mode. The SIM card was not replaced. A phone I ordered, or thought I had, was not ordered correctly. Today we learned our phones had not been ported over correctly. It wasn’t just aggravating to not have service for almost week, but it was dangerous for my 88 year old mother-in-law.This morning, my husband went to another AT&T store to finish activating my phone. He had no problem. The manager at the second store was kind, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. When my husband told him about our experience in Kingsport (how the employee did not know what he was doing and was unprofessional, which is another story), the manager admitted knowing him. The bad employee at the Kingsport store had been fired from this (second) store! I can see why! I think we are finally all set after a stressful week!I don’t recommend going to this store, and I don’t make statements like this lightly.

The Kingsport store is now run by a contracted company. Many of it's long time employees are looking for other work now.

I arrived at this location after leaving the Verizon store down the street. Despite the fact that I had been a Verizon customer for over two decades, I was tired of their refusal to change the IP address allocated to my phone. I needed to change my IP address because I moved and when I searched for restaurants or other services, the results were always in my former city even though the location option was on and browsers locations were correct. I had spent hours on the phone with Verizon tech support, who provided several excuses but refused to fix the problem. So I tried the corporate store, but they, too, were unwilling to assist.I came at the AT&T store still frustrated but Devin quickly put me at ease. He greeted me enthusiastically before I even told him why I was there. I told him what I needed, and he quickly took care of everything while also making some excellent suggestions. I was a happy owner of a new iPhone Pro Max when I left. After a few days, I can say that AT&T's services are equally as good as Verizon's, and I am glad I switched!

Daryl was amazing. NEVER buy from Sam's Club. Thank goodness there are people like Daryl who know what they are doing for when Sam's Club screws up our account.

I switched cellphone service from Verizon to ATT on 8/4/23. I switched 2 iPhone 12’s, a Samsung Galaxy and a simple flip phone. We traded and upgraded to new cell phones, 2 iPhone 14’s, 1 Samsung Galaxy upgrade and a flip phone upgrade. It was literally a nightmare to switch from Verizon to ATT. On 8/4/23 we were in the store working with an associate for 3 hours, from 5:00 pm to closing at 8:00 pm. We was not able to transfer data from our old phones to our new phones on that day. We left the store that day with our old phones. There was no issue with phone lines being down or internet not working. The next day on 8/5/23 we went back to the ATT store at 12:00. We didn’t leave that day until 8:00pm. The associate worked 8hrs on Saturday 8/5/23 with us trying to do the switch from Verizon to ATT. Once we got service to switch, not all the apps would download or not work correctly. My mom has a pacemaker and the pacemaker is linked to her phone which transmits data to her heart doctor. They monitor it 24/7. It took hours to finally get it to work properly. That was not an issue that we took lightly but the ATT associate didn’t seem to understand how important it was to make sure it was working properly among other issues.I and my son was scheduled to leave going out of town at 6:30am the next morning, Sunday , August 6th. We wouldn’t be back in town until Saturday, 8/12/23. So it was important that we get everything in working order on 8/5/23 or just stop with the transaction completely. There was a manager present both days that we were there trying to complete the transfer data and have working phones. He knew there was a problem, but didn’t offer to help. He actually left to go home, knowing how bad the situation was. I consider that bad customer service. I work at a place that values customer and have a goal to exceed expectations every person, every time. So, I have high expectations of other businesses. After 11 total hours of working to complete the transfers and us leaving the ATT store with working new phones and switching to ATT, we were hopeful to have new working phones.Today is 9/13/23 and we still are not completely finished with the transition. We are supposed to receive credit on 3 of our old phones that were turned in to the ATT store. We were told that we would be getting $800.00 credit on the Samsung phone and $700.00 each on the iPhones. A total of $2200.00. I should have gotten it in writing. As of today, there is only 1 credit for $700.00. The other 2 phones are still in pending status. The associate had examined the phones and quoted us the trade in value of each of the phones before we agreed to the switch. The ATT customer service at the call center, told me I needed to turn the old phones in to the store when I called them on 9/11/23. The old phones were turned in on 8/19/23. The store associate was generous enough to let us keep our old phones, until we got back from our trip in case we had new phone issues and to make sure the pacemaker communications worked properly between the app and the heart center.I can’t say it was a pleasant experience. We are still waiting on credit for 2 of our old phones. So, we wait. This experience has turned into a never ending switch of services. I’m not sure I would attempt to switch services if I had to do it all over.I will add that we are happy with the ATT service areas and aren’t having as many dead areas as we did with Verizon.Wish I could say it was a pleasant transition, but it wasn’t.

Daryl was absolutely amazing. Customer service was unable to help me with anything to get my phone going again. He greeted me as soon as I came in and began helping me right away. 10 out of 10.
