I traded in a PlayStation 4 there And they did not reset The PlayStation, they sold the PlayStation with my account on it with my names, my addresses, my phone phone numbers on the accounts that they sold. They sold my personal information which is illegal. I am working on a police report but the people who bought it keep using my account without my permission and spending my money on my account, now every time I reset my password they keep getting on it if you want to resolve this issue GameStop and not have me file lawsuit for selling my personal information. Email me I would love to hear from you.

You know it's bad when I have to suggest an edit for this store to be added on the maps for Yelp. First off, let's talk about how now a days, Gamestop has become obsolete. There is nothing you can get from a Gamestop that you can't get elsewhere these days. Gamer Merch? You can get that at other stores or online, specifically on Amazon. Games and Systems? You can get them at other stores, and once again Amazon. Used Games and Systems? You can find it online. Not to mention getting it online means it can be delivered to your house saving you gas money. Now let's get into my beef with this place. If there was ever one store that screamed, the Gamestop chain has started becoming obsolete leading us quietly close all of our stores, it's this one in particular. Everyday it opens at 12 PM... Yes. 12 PM. The Sonic Drive Thru across the street opens at 6 AM. Most stores have opened by 10 AM. But no, this one opens at 12 PM. Everyday except Sunday just to be different it's only open til 7PM. A measly 7 Hours. That's not even long enough for a worker to get a full 8 hour shift from. Then there's Sunday. They close an hour earlier meaning its only open for 6 hours. Sure it's not exactly in the big city, but that's never stopped other businesses before. Do you see the McDonald's down the road having a lack of business? No. But today was the icing on the cake. If there's one thing I cannot stand, it's people unwilling to loosen up and have fun. On the day I'm leaving this review, it's October 27th 2023. Halloween is in 4 days. I showed up today with a full Shy Guy cosplay complete with Shy Guy mask. Out of respect, I ask the person working the counter, "Hey it's almost Halloween, do I have permission to lower the mask?" Meaning to wear the Mask on my face. I figured since I was being respectful, and I mentioned the Halloween thing, it would get a pass... What does the lady at the counter tell me? That the rules state your face much be shown at all time. And that not ONLY did I have to remove the mask, I'd have to remove my hood on my head as well. Do you think I would bother asking for permission to lower my mask in the spirit of Halloween, if I wanted to rob you all? I've asked the same question while customers aside from me in the store and got told you can't do that. For your information, witness's are a thieves worst nightmare. I know how security cameras work. When I entered, my face was revealed. Just that short amount of time should suffice with Identify if there was a robbery as well as Identify facial features along with the cashier's description. Second, you are a small store that barely gets ANY business. The last three times I've entered the shop, I've seen 0-1 customers aside from myself at best. Not to mention you have the worlds most inconvient hours of operation. This isn't even mentioning the time as soon as I showed up within those business hours, you shut down the shop on the spot to go to lunch. You all need to stop acting like you're so high and mighty when in the grand scheme of things, you're nothing more than a small shop in a dying business. Before long, Gamestop will experience the same fate as Blockbuster did by going out of business. I've attached pictures so you can judge for yourself what kind of place this is. But me? I'm giving it 1 out of 5 stars.

For the longest time, I was convinced this was the only GameStop anywhere close to where I lived but upon visiting this place, I was shocked to find out it isn't. This place is bigger than your standard GameStop. It has all the gamer merch you would come to expect from a GameStop. Originally the only real complaint I had was the hours of operations. It opens up at 12PM (when most GameStops open by 10AM) and depending on the day of the week, it closes by 6PM/7PM/9PM which is really early. This was going to be enough to reduce this to a 4 star rating before I found out there's actually another GameStop with normal hours in the City area of Kingsport. With this one of course not being located in the City area. So on that regard, I can excuse it. All and all, I don't really have anything negative I can say about it. It's your standard GameStop which, can't go wrong with that.EDIT: Honestly I feel like they are closed more then they are open. Today I attempted to pay a visit to kill some time before Happy Hour at the Sonic. It was within the business small window of operating hours. As I'm walking to the store, I see them closing up the shop. I see on the door there's a note of We'll be right back. It shows from when to when they will be gone. They were closing shop before the time they were going to be closed is. Despite not being in the main city, the operating hours of this store is a major inconvenience. If you are expecting to have more business at your store, I would highly suggest you start by changing your business hours. You open on most days at 12 PM. Most business are opening anywhere from the time frame between 6 AM and 10 PM. I'm not 100% certain, but I want to say the other stores in that little shopping strip open before you do and stay open longer then you do.

The people who work here are so friendly! Also, a person who works there (I think his nametag says Christian) is the man! Was real bummed my pre-order wasn't delivered today to my house like I thought it was supposed to be. So I went to the store to pick up something else to play for the weekend. While I was there, he said "wait a second" and came back with my pre-order. Super happy customer & love my local Gamestop.

I decided to visit GameStop after not going into one in a few months, to see if they had any deals going on. My boyfriend and I were greeted and informed about sales and discounts going on before we browsed. A guy helped us with some questions we had, unfortunately I did not catch his name but he was really kind. Once we were ready to check out another guy(I believe his name tag said Christian?)was extremely patient with our questions and was very kind throughout the transaction. He helped recommend me a list of games that I might like and steered me away from ones that wouldn't have suited my playstyle. He also recommended my boyfriend an upcoming game that he ended up pre-ordering, and is very excited about! Great experience and awesome staff ?
