These folks care about people and provide a quality of service that goes beyond the car. The word integrity and compassion come up, when I think about my experiences (over the years) taking multiple cars there. Thank you Alert Transmission!

I’ve taken several of my ATVs here for my lawn care business. Scott and his team do quality, speedy work and are honest, hardworking folks. I’ll be bringing more of my machines to them in the future happily.

These fellas really were gunning to do me wrong. I brought them an axel (already removed from the truck with the hubs disassembled and steering knuckles removed) which I wanted freshened up: ball joints, u-joints, and carrier bearings/seals. He called me after they started to tell me it needed a ring and pinion gear, which I was dubious about considering it was a front axel which probably only had been locked in like 3 times. I told them I wanted to see what they were talking about before they replaced it, and when I got there I couldn’t identify any wear whatsoever on the gear mating surfaces. The owner and his mechanic scratched their heads and said they must have been confused… they should have been my cue to take my stuff and run but I didn’t… better even the guys kid asked if I’d tune into their internet church thing while I was standing there. It ended up costing like 3 grand when I told them to call me if it was going to go over $1200. He said I’d given him the wrong phone number and email which is why I didn’t hear anything. Wondering how he called me to sell me a gear set then… not to mention the right knuckle was cracked from pushing the ball joint in and they assembled the thing together that way. That ended up being a nightmare to replace again. Couldn’t even reuse the new ball joints they’d pushed in. the massive cost set my project back quite a bit, and by the time I had the truck back together a year had passed. I kindly asked if they’d extend their one year warranty for me because I hadn’t even been able to put it back in the truck until last month, he kindly said no one in their right mind would do that. Maybe yes maybe no, I’ve had quality mechanics do more for me than that. I went to these guys because they are only .5 miles from my house, and figured i could keep my business in the neighborhood. My advice is to stay away from here, talk to the fellas at Moore 4 less or at precision tune. Or just do what I should’ve done and do it yourself. Maybe my house will get burned for this review or maybe my dog will get poisoned… let’s hope not.

These guys know what they're doing and, unlike many auto repair people, you can TRUST that they are honest and not gonna run up yor bill by lying about needed work. They can fix ANY automotive repair needs - not just transmissions. These are my NEW auto repair people. They FIXED a $700 mistake made by BAO Automotive because Bao didn't know what they were doing.

Very polite people but I won't be coming back. Originally quoted me something near $3900 for a repair, turned out having to spend $6000. Chalk it up to bad luck maybe, but the day I got my truck back, it broke down. None of the 6 or 7 "warranties" covered the cost to finish repairs, they wanted to charge me an extra $1000 and wouldn't cover my tow bill. Don't be fooled by their Jesus fish lmao. They don't seem to have as much integrity as they claim.Service: Engine repair

Personally I would never have them work on another thing of mine.. call around there's a lot of other shops in town..I've had them work on two different vehicles over the past 6 years. I took my Jeep in there to get the transfer case rebuilt. they forgot to connect the speedo so it triggered the check engine light okay no big deal I'll bring it back. I took it back because the check engine light was on and the speedo wasn't working they ran codes the codes and demanded me pay for running the codes when they forgot to connect it which triggered the code. Got into an argument with the owner and he said well you sign the paperwork so you have to pay it... But luckily one of the mechanics there I think Scott not the owner or his son.. fronted the bill for that because he knew that was messed up what the owner was trying to pull.....I'm sorry but I shouldn't have to pay for your shops incompetence...I would never have went back if it was working like it should and I will never go back again...For several years I thought this was a good shop but I will have to find another one for future needs

Didn't keep here long enough to tear down. They said ya its transmission but when it was actually worked on, it wasn't. It was a $240 part that it needed. Far cry from thousands. So I can't rate them fairly since they didn't get a chance to really check it out. They were nice people and professional to speak with. Can't give 5 stars or 1 star. I paid $66 to get the codes pulled and that was it. But I will say they were cheaper if it was a transmission than service street would of been.

I recently took a truck due to ignition problems . they moved many parts that had nothing to do with the problem. without notifying me. they changed some hoses that were already bad for a long time without causing problems. when they sent the bill it was excessively much. I think I paid for a new engine without me knowing. Before moving parts, first call your customers to ask for authorization.

I broke down in Knoxville on my trip back from Kentucky. I called about 7 or 8 garages and no one would help. When I called Alert Transmission that all changed. I got probably the best service I have ever gotten at an auto repair shop. They got me in and installed a new fuel pump in a very timely manner. If I ever brake down again I hope its in Knoxville. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Thanks guys.

The worst mechanic I've ever had to do work with.I feel bad for anyone who goes to this shop without knowing their reputation in Knoxville. Any bad stereotype you've heard about untrustworthy and money hungry mechanics can be summed up by the conman that runs the place.By the looks of how they reply to negative reviews, Scott can't take negative criticism. I guess that's because he sees it as people taking away his only skill: scamming people out of their money who don't know any better. If I got the bad reviews he gets, I'd use them as ways to improve my business, instead of wasting all my time getting defensive and childishly angry in the replies. If you go to this mechanic, it will be nothing but a source of stress, and I hope this review keeps you away from this place.
