This store is good and has a lot to look at, but the music is always kinda loud and the choice of music being played isn't very good which makes it hard to shop and want to stay in the store. The prices are good and way better than KARM or some of the other resale places.Please consider turning the music down a little bit and maybe play something like instrumental Christian hymns or other instrumental music or oldies music if you can instead of loud rock music.

Actual thrift store prices. Karm prices are way too high, often more than the item was when new. Amvets prices clothing for less than $5 in most cases, and they have a lot of really decent items.

There was an item on the shelf without a price tag and they refused to price the item and sell it to me, said it would have to wait until the next day. I've had a priceless item at the alcoa location and they priced it in front of me right then. Very disappointed as I really wanted that item.

Prices are good, way better than Karm. Manager could be a little kinder. My husband found a mirror for $20, and as soon as he picked it up by the wire it hangs on, it completely ripped in the back. So when he asked for a few dollars off the now broken mirror, the manager said “well I saw you drop it so I can do $1.” Not complaining about not getting a discount per say, I’m definitely complaining about my husband being blamed for the mirror ripping when he did not drop it, the backside ripped because it was obviously not in fair condition. I know people hate being at work, but don’t be in management if you can’t force some fake nice.

Edited to add: my spouse and I decided that we would rent a truck to drop off the furniture that they had ALREADY AGREED to take, and after paying the money to get said truck and we arrived, they said they couldn't take it and proceeded to be incredibly rude to the both of us. This place of business is absolutely terrible. Will never be coming here again, and now we are out more than $100 just to get rid of a couch.I had called into AmVets after calling around to a few other places in order to have a couch and a dresser moved and I was very happy to donate them both. The set up for the pickup was relatively easy, but I had specifically requested advanced notice because I'd have to come in from out of town. The morning of the scheduled pickup day comes and I am only given 20 minutes notice - I am an hour and a half away. While I try to get in touch with someone, I get hung up on four times trying to call the donation center directly. When I try speaking to an operator, I keep getting transferred and, of course, keep getting hung up on. When I am FINALLY able to speak to someone in the donation center, I'm transferred to a voicemail that incorrectly tells me I'm calling outside of business hours. I have not been quite so frustrated with service like this before. Especially since, after exhausting all of my options, I call back again as if I'm setting up a pickup for the first time. The woman who transferred me to the VM because she couldn't help me the first time answers again, and has no trouble giving me pickup information this time around - letting me know that they won't be able to come out until November 6th. I had done all of this in advance so that I could have furniture moved from the apartment I was vacating by October 31st lol.

Found some items at a reasonable price but saw how the long the line was to check out and put the items down and left rather than put myself through the enormous wait.

Great prices. Sometimes I think they might be too low. Definitely better than KARM and without the baggage.

Note: This is an updated review! Thank you for listening to me and taking my review seriously. I shop and donate at Amvets because I love to give back to our Vets. I stopped in a month ago and the merchandise that is donated by us was no longer stored in the window. The store was actually more organized and clean. I will stop in again soon. I also received great customer service.Do not waste your time shopping or donating at this location Your donations are sitting in the display window. They refuse to sell any merch in the windows. The purpose of donating is to sell the items to raise money for our Vets.

I am a regular. I come in nearly everyday. There was a new employee there that asked me to take off my back pack and entrust it to her while I shopped. It didn't stop there she asked me if I was ready to check out while I obviously hadn't finished looking around. I used to love this store now I just don't know.

It's crazy to me how these are supposed to be people that "help" the community, when there's an employee there that just destroyed a family and made a woman and little girl homeless. Before that, this particular employee made 3 other people homeless including her own husband. She kicks people out and keeps their stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if these people's belongings end up in this thrift store. She's a sorry sack of cellulite.

I visit this store at least twice a month. They have very nice women’s clothing at affordable prices. Less expensive than Goodwill. Love it!

I have enjoyed visiting this thrift store! They have a wide range of clothes and a decent stock of furniture and other household items. I have found several clothing items to help build both a professional and casual wardrobe, in both classic and trendy styles.Clothes are usually priced reasonably, and they always have sales on certain colored tags.
