I must echo the sentiment of the initial reviewer. And a Google reviewer as well. I think their data is full of.......feces. But that is just my opinion.

Our apartment complex has fined us $200 after biopet informed them that a sample they sent in was from our dog. It was not though and we know this with 100% certainty. I talked with the biopet company and they were extremely rude and arrogant after I questioned their practices. The sample the apartment complex sent in was inside and on the stairs that i seen myself. It was not p*** but only vomit. Biopet said they cant get DNA from vomit and said it must be diarrhea. Also A reason we know it wasnt our dog is that our dog is unfortunately at times a big leash puller. She is always in front of us and cant wait to get where we are going. It would be near impossible to not notice our dog diarrhea on the stairs right in front of us in a spot where we dont stop. We would know and could not miss something like this. Also our dog has never had diarrhea anything like what was on the stairwell. There is even a white chunk in it, which would be weird from our dog because she only eats dog food and never seen something like that in p**** So after we were fined i did extensive research into this pooprints and biopet company and read many reviews on experiences others have had, just google "pooprints reddit" and you will see the horror stories some have had. Anyhow this brings me to the diarrhea subject. Well from my research i learned that diarrhea samples are considered not a sufficient sample for this testing. In fact pooprints specifically states "Don't waste your waste sample on diarrhea." In their "how to collect" video. Obviously what was tested would be diarrhea. Although i still think it was vomit, which by the way i learned has no dna in it after talking with the lab at pooprints over the phone. Anyhow from further digging into this company i am not impressed and in fact found out this is a proprietary system they use and do not disclose any actual data on DNA results. All we get is a copy saying this is our dogs dna and it is just a sequence of numbers that no one would know what it means and they wont say either. And from a lot of research I've done it appears similar breeds can even test for false positives. This process is not even proven and the company will not release their practices to the public. Besides that, i have also learned that false positives can be obtained from high traffic areas, like the stairwell carpet for example. PooPrints lists very specific practices in collecting samples to avoid cross contamination and such and obviously whoever collected this sample was not trained on the proper procedures because PooPrints clearly states not to collect diarrhea samples. In fact the other leader in dog DNA p*** testing clearly states that there is no DNA on the inside of the fecal matter and only on the outer exterior and that there would be no usable DNA in a diarrhea sample. So there is something going on. Wether it be cross contamination or bad sample Collection results or something. I am not happy with this company and the treatment we have been given. I have also come to find out that the apartment complex is telling the BioPet company which building they have found the sample and also Biopet know which dogs live in which building. Biopet is in the business of giving positive results to keep the clients happy so they can generate revenue on this. The apartment complex charges fines 3 times the price of the tests. I dont know exactly what happened but this is in error. DO NOT STAND FOR THIS AND SIGN YOUR DOG UP FOR THESE BOGUS TESTS! You will regret it. Live somewhere else or demand a lease change.

My Apt complex uses some crazy company called Poo Prints-Bio Pet if they find poo on the property. I was fined $150.00. I disputed this with my Apt complex. I was told to call Poo Prints-Bio Pet. I looked them up on their website and could not find a phone number so I messaged them on Facebook. I was given a number of 865-546-2862 to call and speak to someone about the dispute of my lab results. A lady answered and I told her I was disputing a lab result from my Apt complex. She took the number of TD0112669. And ask me to hold on. A lady named Jerry came on and asked me how she could help me. I explained I was disputing the lab results. I told her that the lab results stated that it could be another dog as well and that the paper says for it to be a match that all have to be a match. On the paper, they skipped one. She told me all this stuff about it was better than the FBI and stuff. I told her if it could not have been another dog then you should not put it on the lab results. She was rude and unprofessional. She acted as if I was not supposed to question the results. I asked who her boss was and she said no one. She was it. She lied. After doing some research Tom Boyd - Founder and CEO, is her boss. And I think she is Jerri Woodard - Customer Service. She became very angry and hung up on me. I called back and another lady answered and I told her I hope she can help me before I have to file complaints on this company. She took the same number. I told her the same info. I told her the same info about it could be another dog and she said it was 43.7 quadrillion. Again if Bio Pet dose does not want to put questions in peoples minds then they should not put it on the report. I told her about the report was not a complete match and she said it did not have to be. She became rude and was very unprofessional. It seems to be a thing with this company. They do not like to be challenged about their lab results. I told I bet if I took it to a jury it would put questions in their minds. She became loud and said I know a judge would rule in our favor and we would win. Agreeing with customers is not good business at all. I never said anything about a judge. I did tell her she was rude and she said I was rude because she said I talked when she talked. I said I never said anything about you over talking me or something like that. Calling customer names is bad business. This company needs to learn how to deal with people and they need to be educated about how business works. If their CEO allows this kind of behavior then I understand why they act how they do. I have every right to dispute the test results and I was told to call them by my Apt complex. They should not get upset when someone challenges they test results unless they are doing something wrong. For God sakes its only poo.

As a manager of Homeowners Associations I have used the PooPrints program offered by BioPet Laboratories successfully at two different communities. The program has allowed these HOA's to almost completely eliminate their dog waste issues. The program is well-organized and easy to set-up and manage. Some residents have been skeptical at first but over time have come to appreciate what the program does for the community. I love this program and highly recommend it for any community with dog waste issues!
