Road hazard damage ruined my car's front bumper, Hardin Valley made it like new again. It took a long time looking for me to find my low mileage, cream-puff of a car and I was thrilled with the repair work. It would be better called a restoration than a repair. You can read any of the other reviews: Mark and his crew are the best!Service: Body & Trim

I can't say enough about how everthing was handled by them. While we were waiting for the repair, I had been hit again. Even with the additional work that needed to be done, they still kept original appointment. They only use OEM parts and that's something many places do. The staff and owner are great people. I would recommend them to everyone. Car was repaired perfectly. Looks like it just came off the assembly line.

Brought my 2010 Honda Insight in to repair my front bumper that had fallen off due to my stupid parking ways and time. I went to THREE places who gave me estimates THREE times more than what HVBS gave. When I talked to them during my estimate they understood I wanted to salvage the bumper if possible so it wouldn't look d*** like a new bumper would on an ancient car. They acutally listened and were very easy to deal with. Please consider them when looking for body repair. Again...They listen. It's so nice.

They don't return phone calls or emails. They've had my car for well over a year and will not give me information on when I can get it. Do not recommend them at all

if i could give O stars i would. all these great reviews has to be friends or family of the owner because i am here to tell you this place is atrocious. my mom decided to use here based off reviews (which are not the truth.) she is going through insurance and when she brought her car in they told her it would be fixed asap. she of course had a rental and was actively using her rental car. what hardin valley body shop DIDN'T tell her was the part was back ordered for 6+ months. they didn't call to communicateANYTHING. like i said she was using the rental. after a month she had to call them to see where her car was and how the work was coming along. they hadn't even started. she brought the rental back and they did not even call the rental company to RETURN the rental.Hardin Valley Body Shop used up all her rental days, then denied doing so. She had to call them 6 months later to see if the part had come in. It had been there for a few weeks. they didn't even have the curtesy to call and TELL her. She could've had her car done so much sooner. well, she brought her car in and the day before i left my first review of this place. the owner mark called to tell her "he doesn't feel comfortable fixing her car with that review from her daughter up." mind, the insurance has AREADY paid this place. i took down the review, however i work in mental health and have had extensive training on behaviors such as these. this is a prime example of gaslighting and manipulation, which seems like this is all this body shop is. again, no communication. mark sent her a total of 2 pictures. sonja and gretchen (the "receptionists") did answer the phone when she called but acted like they didn't know the first clue about absolutely anything. you could most likely ask what color the sky is and they'd say red. eventually, mark gave my mom a date to pick it up. she took PTO for that time, and i left work early to take her to get her car. not done. again, they gave her a date it'd be done, and again we both take PTO, it's still not done. like i said people, this place is terrible at communicating. my mom then contacted the better business bureau. within the next day, one of the employees came back on the BBB's website with a snarky ass comment. but judging from the other bad reviews, that's all they know how to do is be a smart ass. again, terrible communication skills. do you people not know how to take criticism? you learn that in like, 5th grade. it's pretty simple. finally, the body shop BROKE my moms windshield and then admitted to doing so on the phone with her. she drives a jeep, which if you know anything about jeeps, jeeps have little easter eggs hidden around them. one of her hidden easter eggs was on the windshield. they replaced the windshield, charged her insurance company for their mistake, and her windshield no longer has the hidden easter egg. they kept her car from her because their "receptionist" (i say that because really sonja is just marks wife, probably how she got that job to begin with lol, no actual work involved) didn't know how to contact the insurance company and continued filling supplemental payments. the math still doesn't add up, and i'm sure these people are just fraudulent and wanted more money than they even deserve. i would pay less than a dollar to deal with these people. The people, rude.Communication, terrible. their office is so cluttered i'm sure that's why they have such a hard time keeping track of everything, or they just need ethic training. They are liars and aggressive, as seen on other reviews. Do NOT use HVBS.Their work isn't amazing, find another corporate or family owned shop to use because this place is absolute BS. i'm sure sonja, gretchen, or mark will reply back to this review with a snarky ass comment and i don't really care. they know everything i'm saying is facts, and mark even admitted so when he called my mother to tell her to take down my original review

They are not good at communicating with their customers. I delivered my vehicle on October 30th, 2022 and didn't get it back until December 9th, 2022. Even after having it that lengthy period of time, they didn't bother to check to see if my BSM and RCTM monitors were working. I called them to tell them that they weren't working, and they told me I would have to bring it in again. I took it back to them in January and they had their guy look at it and he couldn't repair it. They then took it do a local Toyota dealership to have them fix it. I had to wait for over a week to get it back. I never received a phone call from them to tell me what was going on. I had to reach out to them to find out what was going on with my vehicle. I went to them because they were a local company, but I will not be returning or recommending them to others.Services: Body & Trim

I am very frustrated. I went to 3 body shops and got estimates. I had 2 areas on my car I wanted to get fixed, back bumper and quarter panel. I decided to go here because it was family owned and a friend said they were great. Price wise it was in the middle. When I scheduled my appointment I stated that I only wanted the back bumper fixed and that the quarter panel was not in my budget at the time. When I dropped off I dealt with Sonya. She was very short with me and rude. I almost cancelled and left but I figured she was having a bad day and decided to not let it bother me.I asked her if when they were painting the bumper if they could put a little paint on the quarter panel to prevent rusting. I said I would come back at a later date to have the panel fixed but that I couldn’t afford it right now. She said she would “see what they could do”.When I picked up, again…she seemed like I was a waste of her time and annoyed. The bill was significantly more than I was originally quoted, I was upset but paid because I hate confrontation and felt so uncomfortable. I was a self pay because the person who rear ended me was reimbursing me for the fix. When I got home and looked at the bill I saw that they had charged me for fixing the quarter panel. I went and checked my car and sure enough they fixed it.I could not rightfully ask the person reimbursing me to pay the whole bill so I was reimbursed for the back bumper. So now I'm out this money that I did not budget for AFTER I SPECIFICALLY STATED I DID NOT WANT THE WORK DONE.I know what’s done is done and I wasn’t trying to get anything for free. However I felt I had every right to let Sonya know how upset I was and that her attitude was unacceptable and if she took 5 minutes to listen to her customer and care about what I was hiring them to do she would have not made this mistake.I sent an email to Sonya stating everything I wrote here. Her response was aggravating. She said she was sorry but she was having a bad day the first time and the second time she was sooo busy. She also said “we didn’t charge you for the quarter panel, we did it for free”. What??? I have the bill and I know what I paid. Nothing was done for free. I wrote that back to her.A gentleman called me to see what was going on. I explained to him and he said he was sorry and what’s done is done.Ok fine. I guess I just wanted a genuine apology or explanation. Maybe a $20 gift card to Chick-fil-A or Starbucks as an apology gift. ? Im in management and I’m in sales. We all make mistakes, you just need to show the customer that you care. I would have been satisfied with that. They had no problem taking my $2500.Sonya shouldn’t be dealing with customers or I should have asked a man to do this transaction for me. I feel completely taken advantage of.I’m just so tired of seeing that customer service is dead. Nobody takes responsibility for a job well done any more. Have a little pride in your business and care about PEOPLE. Even though the work looks good, I would never refer this place to anyone. So much for supporting the “family business”.I should have went to one of the other corporate places. They are the ones who suggested putting a little paint on the side panel to prevent rusting since I only wanted the back bumper done…would have saved a ton of money.

Sonja provided outstanding customer service, helping me reschedule my service due to a business conflict (I drive a fleet vehicle) and then ensured the work was completed prior to a long road trip the following day. The quality of the work? Flawless. I highly recommend Harden Valley Body Shop; they will be my go-to shop for future service.

I went for an estimate of some body work about 2 months ago and was told I would receive the estimate by email. Two weeks later and no estimate. I called and was told they would "try" to email it. Now, more than 2 months later, I have yet to receive an estimate. Also, their office is filthy. I was very disappointed.

Although I finally wound up going somewhere else, due to State Farm being such a pain, I would have gone here if State Farm had been responsive. I looked at several repaired cars on their lot and couldn't tell where the repairs had been done (which is a good thing). Their appraiser was thorough and professional. Although I didn't wind up going here, I will try them if I need a repair in the future (and don't have to go through State Farm)

Have used H.V. Body Shop a few times since they were first recommended to me about 20 years ago, and have always been happy with the work. After my wife tangled with a brick wall, they just replaced and paint-matched the front bumper cover on my 2015 Acura and as always did a great job.Service: Body & Trim
