I had the worst experience on my recent visit. I called earlier to the lab and asked if I could walk in for a test. The operator said yes. I asked if they take insurance, and they said yes. Later when I arrive at the location, there were two people on the counter who took absolutely no interest or no help or assistance was even remotely offered. I find out that I needed a doctor's order for performing a test, even though they said it was walk-in. Later I find out that I need to buy the test by myself and that I cannot use my insurance. They offered no explanation, no support in helping me understand my choices. One of them was on her phone and watching videos on instagram and too busy to talk. I showed great restraint that day. I paid $340+ for the tests, and made me wait another 30 mins before they could draw my blood and collect my urine sample. The person who drew my blood rushed the process, took the needle and jabbed me like a steak. She later used an unsanitary cotton cloth to clean up my needle wound. One of the other person was heard saying "I cant be here another 30 mins longer" and rushed me through all this process. It was extremely disappointing and I felt robbed of my money, as insurance would have 100% covered these tests, but now I had to pay by my self. Since I needed the test before I leave the states for a travel abroad, I had no other option. However this was the worst of the worst service I have ever gotten in my 7 years in the USA.

This is the second time this week i have brought my father to UT for lab work and the staff isn't here and ready at 8. It's now 8:25 and no one had shown up. There are a line of patients waiting for blood to be drawn. It's unacceptable that this happens more times than not.

Improve your bedside manner. Some patients may be carrying a heavy emotional medical load. A little kindness, patience, & compassion goes a long way in these situations.

Apparently when you schedule a test that cannot be performed that time they WIILL NOT CALL TO TELL YOU. If you call the location they also do not answer the phone. Wife is very pregnant and had to fast for this. She really needed this test this day but due to negligence on their side we had to wait several extra days so we could make arrangements to have off time to perform the test……very upset with how this company operates and if there was a choice I would go anywhere else. Wait there isn’t one so this company has no obligation to…yay…and thank you for caring about my time and wife’s health

I got blood work done there and it was so fast and easy! The workers Wendy, Brianna, and Richard were extremely nice and wonderful. They made my day and I was in and out. If I never need blood work again, I’m going here for sure!

Run! Techs know it all and won't listen to patients. Need more training. Won't go back.

I've had to get my blood drawn a lot in the past few months--the most I've ever had to get it done. I absolutely dread getting blood drawn because I have experienced vasovagal syncope (feeling sick to my stomach and fainting) on numerous occasions. The phlebotomists at UT Labcorp are very good at what they do, especially the lead phlebotomist, Wendy. Wendy is my favorite. She's very kind and goes above and beyond to make sure everything goes smoothly. I am always grateful to get Wendy. She's usually the one who draws my blood and it's quick and painless, which is a big difference in what I'm used to.In the past, I've been told by phlebotomists at regular clinics that I have "rolling veins" and I'm hard to stick. The constant needle poking to find a vein is what really makes me feel sick. I hate it. It hasn't been an issue not once here at UT Labcorp. And I've been going here for months.I appreciate how accommodating they are to fainters (whimps) like me. I'm able to lay down on a reclined chair and it is way more tolerable. I haven't gotten sick in a while, so that's a huge improvement for me. I cannot recommend this place enough. They're the best!

Had blood work again for the millionth time! Location at UT Med center was great. Receptionist very nice, didn't wait but couple of minutes! Tech who drawed blood, Wendy was great! Very polite, professional and quick. I've had blood drawn, IVs, etc. Her stick was painless and perfect! Couldn't be more pleased than what Wendy did. She's the best!

I have been waiting for a test results for the past 2+ days. I called the doctors office 2 days running and no results. So the doctors office had to call Lab Corp to ask for the results and asked why they didnt send the results earlier. Their reply was you didn't give us a fax #. Really? There is a phone # on the request for the test, but they were to lazy to call the doctors office and get a fax #. Lab Corp doesn't list a fax # to send requests for testing either. Discussing on how they run a medical service.

Oh my lord!!! My husband was told to come and have some blood work done after sudden cardiac arrest, was told to just come at anytime, no appointments needed. We have been here for 3, 1/5 hours!!!! This is beyond ridiculous. I would hate for someone elderly to have to come here! Poor excuse for a lab at UT. This needs addressing ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Suffered discrimination and malpractice at the northshore location. Was discriminated for my low cut top. Its 98° F outside. Im not gonna show up in a sweater. Ppl need to feel comfortable in a medical setting, not judged. This place isnt as easily accessible as they make out to be either. You are not allowed to request ur own labs you need doctors orders for them now. I had a biospy here once and didnt need a doctors order before but now you do apparently. Will not be returning here. My doctor has agreed to just do my labs himself after having so much trouble with lab corp. Even he didnt know you needed to put in an order now. Used to be able to just walk right in.
