Best fried chicken I've had since I've lived in Knoxville. The fish is pretty good too, so when I can't make a decision I get the wings and fish plate. They always check your order before you leave to make sure you have everything you ordered before you leave.

I LOVE this place and Mrs. Betty! She has always treated me very good and always has good food! I have never had a problem with her or the other staff here. BTW, I'm white and not from this side of town. Thank you Mrs. Betty for all your years here and all the good food you make for us white folk! I LOVE YOU!

I had an experience there today. I was kicked out for stopping to smoke a cigarette (I dont smoke in the car with my children, who were obviously in the car). I had just gotten my son from the school up the street. I was in a 2016 model car, I'm a 5 ft white female... there was literally no indication but, that didn't stop John whatever his name is from accusing me of selling or buying drugs!... in broad daylight... lol... he couldve stopped with asking me to leave but insisted on continuing to list reasons I MUST be guilty (out of state tag, we just moved). According to John, I'm more likely to be selling drugs with an out of state tag. He got increasingly rude and downright insulting. He even took a picture of my tag, which won't matter really because it's my old address, and again, I'm pretty much the exact opposite person that would be doing any of that mess. Anyway, I explained to him my reasoning for stopping (it was literally the first stop after school and the only gas station on my route to get on the interstate). All he did was keep talking, keep insulting me and at the end said he'd been spending too much time explaining it to me. To which I replied that I understood the first time but I guess I had more respect for him than he did for me because I didn't cut him off like he did me several times. If it weren't for my kids being there, I would have insisted that we run the tag on the car together with the police he claims to have such a loving relationship with. I was no threat at all, I was not suspicious looking. I even spoke to an employee that was taking out trash. John didn't give me the option of going in to buy something, or moving my car to where he felt it would be more in his line of sight, he simply told me I was not welcome and I had to leave NOW. We have been in Knoxville about a month and this is the first bad experience I've had like this. Everyone else has been so friendly. I can only hope that John finds some kind of joy in his life because it's pretty obvious even from my one interaction that he got way too much out of kicking someone out of the parking lot, and I can only assume he must be unhappy with his life in some way. I would never go back here. I even tried to find an alternate route so there would be no chance of me ever getting a flat tire near this rundown gas station. I will partially take blame for this experience, as I knew from passing it so many times before that it was poorly managed due to its appearance but I didn't imagine all this. I STRONGLY recommend not going here if you can help it. You won't know if you're welcome or getting kicked out. Dont let yourself be berated and bullied by this guy! Just go somewhere else!!!

Betty seems to be racist towards white people. She messes up our orders and grabs the wrong cigarillos when you ask for something else. We have been overcharged numerous times. Every freaking time its BETTY. RACIST a** store. Nobody got time for that d*** s**** The wrong white person wont be so f****** nice. People dont play with their money. And messing every order up is so intentional. This is a racist a** store. If youre a white boy or girl, you get f***** with. Racist a** bitches. The black people are always rude as hell towards whites. Nobody speaks on it but it happens too much. Why support a black business who is racist towards whites? White people need to boycott this store and support a white business. Whites lining the pockets of all these racists. Not a single white worker says it all..
