Everything is a hassle. I’ve been a member of ORNL for 18+ years and I’ve honestly have never anything good to say about it. Everything is constantly inconvenient and they try to make you go through hoops to get the simplest tasks done. I’ve been denied loans when I went to another bank same day and they ripped my arm off for their business for less interest. Good luck trying to withdraw any sizable amount of money from your own account, they will put a hold on it for as long as legally possible. Today was the last draw though, instead of placing your typical 3-5 day hold on a check, they decided to bump it up to a 15 day hold which is completely insane and I’m not quite sure if it’s even legal to do so. The day it clears, will be the day i withdraw every single Penny and close my accounts with this bank. Something is just off them.

I had a great experience with Alex yesterday. He helped me move money to the right accounts and had a couple of great suggestions for products that work really well for my financial situation. He's very knowledgeable and easy to work with, he never rushed me or my transactions. Would recommend seeing him for anyone going to the north branch

I want to express how awesome this branch location is very nice people who try to help you.. I’m truly grateful for their branch manager MADISON BENNETT truly awesome genuine person so friendly,answered every question I had I hope she is recognized in this review by her superiors I definitely will be conducting more business at this location go and see her she is awesome…I WENT for a quick loan and she tried her best and succeeded in making this happen for me ..

Went in to get a new debit card since I got an email over the weekend that my card was compromised. Stopped by and to no surprise the card machine is down. They told me to go to fountain city or Karns and just tell them one was created get it printed. Since I was on my lunch break and get off after closing, went back to work and went to fountain city branch the next day. What this branch failed to tell me was I had to go the same day. They mailed it out automatically so I wasted a drive to fountain city and now have to wait longer for a new card. Going on a week without a debit card. Fountain city branch couldn't believe they wouldn't tell me I had to come same day and was super apologetic and asked who assisted me.

This is the absolutely the worst financial institution I have ever had the misfortune of becoming a member. Since last Friday, March 12, 2021, this institution has been holding almost four thousand dollars of my wife and I resources in a pending hold status. Both of us have spoken to representatives from ORNL on multiple occasions to try to resolve this issue. We were told that they only release direct deposits 2 days prior to settlement and they only do this as a courtesy. My wife called ORNL customer service today Monday March 15 2021 to find out what the delay is due to our utilities need to get paid. The woman was ignorant, never asked my wife's name, account number, nothing. Just spouted off information all the while having an attitude. This caused my wife to have an anxiety attack that she was still dealing with when I got home from work. The checks are still in a pending status after being told they would clear by end of business today. Do not use ORNL for anything. They treat members like children, are inconsistent in how they enforce policy and procedure, and make you feel like you should be grateful they allow you to join. As soon as its possible, we are finding a new bank. It is our money, we should not have to beg for it nor should we be made to feel insignificant. WORST PLACE EVER TO PUT MONEY!!! Stay away.

The reason I went in was to translate for a friend, she is seeking a line of credit and another friend of mine suggest to schedule an appointment with Madison. I happen to arrive a few minutes earlier than my friend but rather than have me waiting in the lobby for her, Madison walked me in to her office. We begin talking and next thing you know I am opening a Checking and Savings account she is very alluring :). As soon as my friend arrived we begin the process of opening her Checking and Savings account, I translated multiple questions that included direct deposit, online banking and then we begin all the paperwork for her line of credit applications! I cannot express how grateful I am for her patients and her knowledge when it came to answer every question my friend had. She showed us the user-friendly functionality of the ITM/ATM. At the end she thank us and said "Buenas Tardes" creating a stronger bond with my friend and I.Gracias Madison

Had an issue with my loan payment. I went to the North Branch to get it resolved. Upon arriving, I found that the inside services were closed due to all that is going on during these times with social distancing. There was a sign that had a number to call for assistance. Being older, and very old school, I am a face to face type person. I was dreading this call. I had all my facts, receipts, and other documents ready, so I made the call. I got a young man named Chase. He listened to the issue, asked a few more questions, and told me he was on it, and would call me back after he made some calls. I wanted a time line for this call back. He said about 45 minutes. I was surprised, and told him if I hadn't heard from him in a few hours, I would call him. Well, in about 15 minutes, I get a call back from Chase. He had everything resolved, and I mean everything. I can't wait till all this social distancing stuff is over so I can meet him in person. Chase made me feel like he was on my side, and was there to help me. Not just words, but more his actions. He told me what he was going to do, and he got it done. No passing the buck, no transferring me around. He actually took ownership of my issue and resolved it, and fast. I cannot speak highly enough of his professionalism, a dedication to his customers. Thank you Chase, you are awesome.

Well, well what a disappointment...so thinking to open business account and came not at rush hour. First a retired lady tried to understand what I want, and retirement age is for a good reason all over this world...just ornl has different opinion (2 older persons working at front desk). After she played with the keyboard for a while, told me maybe 15 minutes like waiting time (only after I insisted that I don't have much time)...so after a long time I realized nobody knows in the back that I'm waiting, and the old lady dispersed (like many other workers...guess lunch break).

?LORI GREAT JOB!!! ?I spoke on the phone with Lori. @ The Clinton Hwy ORNL.? She was so helpful, professional and pleasant to speak with. It came natural to her. She is a really nice lady. She spoke to my 16 year old son the same. Everyone is always helpful and professional at this particular Credit Union we visit. Thank you, ?LORI?for doing a GREAT JOB.

We had an excellent experience with this branch. Overall the look is new and clean, and the inside is welcoming and professional. Madison helped us with everything from opening a new savings account for my niece, exchanging foreign currency, and updating our details for our current account. Excellent customer service, would recommend.
