Went to purchase a washer and dryer combo. Found one I liked but always prefer to research before I pull the trigger. The salesman mentioned "this price is only good for TODAY" which I fluffed off, as I was planning on researching that evening and coming in the very next day... lo and behold, the very next day as soon as they opened, when I went in to purchase the quoted appliances, the price had gone up, so suddenly they didn't even have a chance to update the price tags.I'm all about supporting local but this happenstance changed my mind from purchasing here!

Our experience with Patterson’s has certainly been a mixed bag. First the positive. The salesperson we worked with, Brittany, was VERY good. She listened to our needs, made excellent recommendations, and has been friendly throughout the process. We had done some research and had an idea of what we wanted. She never tried to “up-sell” us. To date, she is the ONLY person at Patterson’s who has offered an apology when things went wrong, and has quickly returned calls when I’ve had to leave a message. I would give her 5 stars.We have been pleased with the appliances we purchased when we remodeled our kitchen. The dishwasher is efficient and quiet. The stove is working out well. The refrigerator has been the issue. All the appliances were delivered on time on June 12th.We needed the doors of the refrigerator to be hinged on the left side. Apparently they all come from the factory being hinged on the right. The delivery guys were not sure how to make the switch. The dishwasher installer happened to be there at the same time and tried to help them. There was difficulty, and we were told the refrigerator was defective. As it turned out, they had used power tools to make the switch and had over-tightened a screw which had broken off. That was not revealed to us until the 3rd delivery person tried to repair it, and told us what he found. That refrigerator was removed from our home, and a loaner was brought over. It was much smaller than we needed and was very dirty. We had to spend a good bit of time cleaning it before we could use it. A new refrigerator was ordered, and we were told it should arrive by the end of July. When I called on the designated day, Brittany was not there, so I spoke to someone in the office. Apparently, the refrigerator and NOT come in. I asked when to expect it, and was told October 27th. When the 27th came, and I had not heard anything, I went to Patterson’s to see what the issue was, and spoke to Brittany. She had not been informed of any of the issues. She said the truck was there, but had not been unloaded so she could not say if the appliance was on the truck. Later that day, she called to say it was not on the truck and it could be a while before it came in - she could not say for absolute sure when it would be in. I asked why we had never been contacted and was told their system is not really set up for that. They only get in touch with customers when THEY call with issues. As a former customer-service specialist, this is a POOR way to do it.At that point, I asked if it was possible to cancel the order and she said it was. I ended up going to a big-box store and purchasing the very same model at the same price for which we had purchased the one at Patterson’s. It was delivered on time, and I decided to change the doors myself. The Whirlpool video demonstrated making the change without power tools. It took longer, but I successfully made the change with no issues. Patterson’s has now picked up the “loaner” and refunded the purchase price. I did not ask, and Patterson’s did not offer to make any consideration for our time and inconvenience. No one from management has ever called to “own” their mistakes and/or apologize. They were not pro-active once they knew they had dissatisfied customer. They never asked how they could make things better. I would give management 1 star at best.Would I buy again from Patterson’s? It’s hard to say. I liked that they are a local business that you can reach without an extended phone tree. They DO respond when YOU call. The salesperson we dealt with, Brittany, was top-notch. However, I’m not impressed at all with management or their system of customer service, and if you have to place an order, it is anyone’s guess when it might come in.

No refrigerator for almost 3 months. It was less than 3 years old. Whirlpool. The part the first guy said it was came in 2.5 weeks later. They wanted to install it 8 days later! I said, it's SUMMER, and I have NO refrigerator. She asked, "How about tomorrow morning?" I said YES! Another guy came, installed, and left quickly. 6 days later, no fridge. I called. And again, wanted to schedule someone 7 days later! I HAD NO FRIDGE! ANOTHER guy came and said he could see that part was not working. So, it was another part that WAS working with Guy 1! 7 weeks later, NO PART! No offer of a loaner, or anything! Finally, I called to cancel the part (again, NO empathy!) and ordered a new brand fridge elsewhere!

They didn't have the part I needed but they said they would order it for me to pick up fhe next day and would,call when it came in. They never called. I called again, they hadnt ordered the part but said they would and again would call once the part was available. Again they never called. I called 2 days later, the part was there so I went to pick it up...

Repairs are not being done simply because there is one technician in the area, overloaded. Reschedule, reschedule, reschedule. Shopping experience was 5 stars, installation 4 stars, but servicing is non-existent. I avoided the big stores and chose Patterson exactly for the combination of selling and servicing appliances. What a disappointment. Zero advantages over big stores.

My wife and I went shopping for an upper end Whirlpool range and dishwasher. We buy Whirlpool upper end because we don't want to buy over and over and the appliances are made in the USA, not China. We tried Home Depot and had to cancel because for some reason only known to them, the appliances were sent them to their store instead of our home even after giving them our home delivery address. Then we tried Best Buy in Knoxville, we were told they could pull the items from two different stores, it turned as another cancelation because they changed delivery three times and still wanted us to pay at least monthly payments without us having the appliances.finally Patterson's Appliances so far is coming through for us, Harland was was great and very knowledgeable, always shop local first. We visited a few months later and the service people bent over backwards to helps us on a dishwasher rack stop.

Five stars for the young man who delivered/installed my dishwasher. He was kind, respectful and very meticulous in his work. Everyone at Patterson's should follow his pattern. I wonder if anyone will tell this young man the compliment he just received??

Visited the Maryville location today they definitely judge a book by its cover. Went in after work in dirty clothes not one employee spoke to me. The loose is on them I needed stove ,fridge ,dish washer and over the range Microwave. Not only lost a big sale today but I won't give them another try

This was a very poor experience, the Kingston Pike store was one of the most unwelcome merchants I have ever visited. We are remodling our kitchen and my wife wanted all Jenn-Air appliances, so we went to Pattersons on 8/20/22 to see about a purchase. The staff was not busy, but would not recognize we were even in the store. I was wearing a tshirt, jeans and sneakers so if you visit maybe a tie and sport coat will get you service. I will not be purchasing my appliances from any Pattersons store. I will say, they have a nice selection of appliances. The problem is, the staff wants to keep them.
