I would give no stars if I could. Don't go here! They gave us moldy pizza and cheese bread, and were not apologetic about it! If you value your health you won't eat here. We are disgusted.

Stefano's Pizza is a Knoxville Icon. I was worried that they were all going away and was delighted to find that they opened a new storefront in Hardin Valley. My family and I enjoy trivia here on Wednesday evenings. It completely fills up so get there early for a table. You won't find more authentic Chicago style pizza anywhere else in town. Love the special, Windy City, and Lady Vol just to name a few of the pizza's. They also have excellent salads or so I'm told. My wife like the Rocket Salad (the one with beets). Great local beer on tap as well.

Got the Thursday Pizza special and all the bread was stale and the pizzas had mold on the bread. Have had their pizza before and this wasn’t the case. Would not recommend the Thursday pizza special.

All through my childhood, high school, and college years, Stefano’s on the strip was far and away my favorite pizza place. Sadly, it closed after the building was sold. The other day, I was craving some Stefano’s, so I went here thinking it would be about the same. It wasn’t. This place is nowhere near as good. The original Stefano’s loaded the pizza down with sauce, and had a fairly normal amount of cheese. This place went a different (worse) direction. Hardly any sauce at all. There were multiple bites in each slice that had no discernible sauce whatsoever. It was more like cheesy bread than pizza. The cheese was as thick as the crust. Way too much. Atmosphere and service were fine, but I wouldn’t go back since the pizza just isn’t good. I’d rather just eat Domino’s than the subpar pizza offered here.

I did take out, atmosphere is required by Google and the place does look cool. Service is good and friendly.Got a cheese pie, the dough was too raw and gooey and like bread dough rather than a pizza dough. The wings were cooked well but the sauce was too heavy and very tangy. I had to wipe them down with a paper towel. The texture seemed baked rather than fried, I may be wrong but they didnt have a crunchy skin. Its not bad for party food or families but not pizza and wing wonks.

We decided to try Stefanos in Hardin Valley this evening. I’ll go in more detail, but I wanna get right to the point. Service was good, atmosphere was good, appetizers were great, pizza was not good.We had some jerk chicken wings that were incredible! Sticky, sweet, heat. Nice plating. Their ranch tasted made in house; and was delicious.Pizza was not good. The crust was dry and crumbly, the cheese was just melted but not very hot. The vegetables on our pizza were not cooked, just very raw onion and pepper floating around in gooey cheese. Which might be some people’s thing!Would we go back? Yes. Our server was great, and like I said we LOVED our appetizers. I’d probably avoid the pizza and try a sub or pasta next time.
