Stay away from Truist completely. Their mistake took my perfect payment history and credit and destroyed it completely because they did not follow their own procedures on handling fraudulent charges and then they wouldn’t correct what they did to me. Because of their admitted error, I now need to file bankruptcy. Due to their error and then making very negative remarks on my credit reports 3 months in a row that was not accurate at all, the interest rate on all my cards went up substantially and over $35,000 of available credit was taken away from me which caused my credit utilization to go sky high. I am 60 years old and never had any credit issues and always paid my bills on time but because my own personal bank mishandled fraudulent charges on my credit card, I am now financially destroyed for life and they don’t care in the least bit. It has gone on for 3 months now! Stay away from this Bank! Oh and by the way, I was with them for 19 years before they merged and became Truist!

Horrible customer service at this bank in Farragut this month. Their ATM has been out most of the month and they don't even bother to put a sign on the machine telling you it's out of order. Then you must stand in line forever inside the bank. If I didn't have a red tape government direct deposit check, I would change my bank!....Update 3/5/24: ATM NOT working again! You can deposit or transfer money but cannot withdraw. When are they ever going to get this fixed and keep it fixed? This is so irritating I could scream!

I have been a customer with Suntrust Bank for over 20 years. They weren’t perfect but I recieved decent customer service most of the time. Since their merger with BBT its been sub par at best. I called the Farragut branch and my call was answered by a rep in the Philippines who didn't understand banking guidelines. I called the Farragut branch direct and spoke with a Teller. Told her my issue with my account. She said she would research and get back to me. She never did. I called multiple time to follow up only for the call to go to a voicemail. I did leave a message eventually asking for a return phone call. Never received one. I finally had to physically go to the branch and ask for the manager who is never in. At this point, I spoke with another branch employee but not a teller. Told her my issue with my account and trying to get understand how they posted NSF funds on checks that were deposited in person without looking at my account. She try to explain their policies, which I did not agree to, she said she would look into and get back to me again, nothing and no follow up. I do not understand how a bank can stay in business and not be responsive to their customers and not understand their own policies. I am now forwarding my issue with the bank regulation board , I am now withdrawing my money and closing this account

I’m overstating my position here at this bank. Buyer BEWARE do not go here if you have less than two dollars in the bank account weather you have direct deposits or not. Bank elsewhere. Aiden did a bank transfer for me from my personal account to my Business account and then got in frustration mode when I asked him to check on why my Husbands business card was not working. From there Aiden decided that I wasn’t rich enough to continue to assist at that point and said that the bank was busy and asked if I could wait in line for an hour all over again until he could help m. This is not only Racism but discrimination at best. I’m personally glad that the bank s are crashing. I’m cheering on the incoming Robots because at least they won’t discriminate against me. Aiden needs a life lesson in Discriminating against the people and my Best Friend Karma has his address.

I was a long time very happy (12 years) Suntrust/Truist customer and carried a large personal checking, savings, and mortgage balance with them until I moved across the country where there are no branch banks in the region. I called this branch (my local branch when I lived here) and the banker I spoke to over the phone said my accounts could not be closed remotely and recommended I transfer my entire balances to my new institution and Truist would automatically close my accounts. Imagine my surprise when I started getting negative balance bills every month from Truist, which was then sent to Collections (along with the threat to blacklist me from future banking with Truist). Thankfully the support specialist was very patient and states they will close my accounts in Good Standing and cancel the fees, since all of this occurred based on the local banker’s advice.Very frustrating and stressful, and not a good way to end my 12 year financial relationship with this institution.

Seems they merged with Suntrust Bank and BB&T Bank. Seemed friendly but took a while to find the information I needed. I have more issues with BB&T, however, they went under. As far as this new bank, parking lot was empty at 2:30PM on Wednesday. A couple was leaving as I entered. As I am staying with my Credit Union, this is all I can comment on. Ms T. Hardiman was extremely helpful.

Horrible customer service, specifically Doug. He is disrespectful and treated my elderly mother horribly. He should be ashamed of how he handles himself. If you are reading this, Doug. I hope you and your moral compass have a come to Jesus meeting and that your loved ones are never treated as poorly as you treated my mother. You should be ashamed of your behavior.

Teller Venus accuses people of fraud wrongfully with no questions asked, just outright accuses them…and then calls the company the check was written by to find out…we weren’t criminals after all. Worst bank ever! Wait times forever also.

Once you get to talk to an actual employee, normally they do a good job. But, it is next to impossible to get to speak to an employee of the bank.
