This shop was really cool very retro in a good way. The service was awesome. I thought because of my nut allergy I wasn't going to be able eat there but they made it work and the food was amazing! Great experience!

The fries are fresh, tots amazing, and sauces made in house! Their sandwiches are also delicious!! I've e tried more t ban one and they never disappoint. Highly recommend trying out this local spot downtown!

The menu is masterful. Not sure you could go wrong with choosing any item of their menu. While AT TIMES, the service may be somewhat hit or miss, it doesn't matter because the food is so amazingly good!

Hot dogs were great and they had lots of different options to choose from. Will agree with others that this place can be pretty pricey and the customer service needs a lot of work. Grungy looking place for sure but that's probably the best place to get a hot dog like these.

If you like hotdogs at all but especially unique hotdogs.. this is the place! Curious dog is tucked away in downtown Knoxville & has more of a beer counter vibe than a restaurant. The food here is delicious they have some of the best hotdogs and truffle fries in town. It's a bit pricy, BUT it's worth it when you leave feeling full & satisfied.

We love this place. This place is one of the only places I will eat a hot dog. It made me into a fan. I LOVE their Chicago dog. My husband orders several items off the menu and hasn't had a bad item yet. Friendly staff and the service is quick, when they are not swamped with a festival or other event in the area. Lots of beer choices in their refrigerator for take away as well. Small inside dining with an eclectic feel. Or you can take your items across the street to Pour and hang out.

The food is off the hook. Amazing dogs, but what the hell?!! The guy behind the counter throwing a temper tantrum and screaming angrily as orders are ready, all the while slamming doors and throwing condiments was a lot distracting. If watching a mentally unstable man fix your delicious dog while having a beer is your idea of a good time, there is no better show in town. We won't be back anytime soon.

The curious dog has a unique interior with a ton of options for food and drink. The menu is definitely overwhelming but the staff were very patient in allowing people to order. I tried the Lafayette dog which is topped with creole chow chow, Thai peanut sauce, tomatoes, and Düsseldorf mustard. The Lafayette dog was good but the chow chow didn't blow me away. I upgraded my combo with tater tots for an extra charge, but the tots were very good. So the price is maybe a little higher than I would expect to pay. The hot dog combo with an upgrade to tater tots plus a decent tip cost me about $21. I will add that the hot dogs do come pretty loaded up. (So don't expect to look cute while eating here). I plan to come back to explore the menu some more.

After watching one of the greatest college football games on Saturday. My next goal was to find something to eat. Not being from the area I followed my friend that goes to school at the University of Tennessee. We walked out of the college area and walked into the old city part of Knoxville. There were a lot of bars in the area but then I found curious Dog. As I walked in you first see fridges full of types of beers. I did not drink but the selection was endless. The restaurant had cool hip college vibe with a few arcade machines. The inside of the Curious Dog is definitely my type of vibe.To the most important part I ordered the Old City Sandwich I did not know what to expect. The sandwich consisted of cajun turkey, ham, pepper jack, tomatoes, cucumbers, banana peppers, white sauce and chipotle sauce on sourdough. I kid you not it was one of the greatest sandwiches I've ever had. All of those ingredients I just stated made the sandwich taste like magic. I loved the sandwich so much that I ordered it again to before we went to the bars. When you usually order the same sandwich again you know it's good. Prices were affordable, the Old City cost $11 and it was worth it. In my opinion, in other parts of the country that sandwich would cost more. That is the advantage of being in the south. Curious Dog is a good example of what southern comfort is suppose to taste like. In the end, this was one best restaurants I've been to in a while. It took a while to make my sandwich but that's a good thing because the quality of it was incredible.

was curious about this hot dog shop...The place has pretty cool interior decor and a cool location. The menu is vast andaybe a little too vast which makes it hard to decide what to pick. I had the Philly cheese dog which was really good - like the deep fried dogs - the fries were ok - was expecting more from the fresh cut potatoes. My only complaint is The service was bad - they were so busy making door dash orders and kind of ignore you. Might stop in to try a sandwich in the future but no rush...
