Horrendous service, operations processes, and technology. I hold my mortgage with them and so far their app and digital payment systems has been dysfunctional and ended up telling me my rent was being drawn and paid while it actually wasn’t. When I go to correct the issue no one actually knows how to help me and all I’m told is “I’m sorry they’re training for another branch”…but constantly. All while the manager refuses to make eye contact or assist the trainee.Let’s now get to my business account, so far I’ve been mailed a check because they “upgraded” their systems and in reality turned off everyone’s autopay and when I try to turn it back on they say I have to pay a fee to enable autopay. Aforementioned check they sent (thank god I didn’t deposit this check with my name on it) I was told that thank goodness I didn’t cash it because I would have been at fault.I will be moving my business account from this shoddily run institution and they should give thanks to somebody that I can’t really refinance my home because I totally would if it meant getting away from y-12 federal credit Union.

I always have great service. They listen and do whatever they can to help. They have made improvements to their online platform and app. Would love to see a branch in East Knoxville somewhere.

Horrible customer service on the loan side of things. Have my vehicle loan through them they didn't inform of us of some paperwork that wasn't right on the dealership side of things then I get hit with a CPI insurance charge just because my insurance didn't show them as a lien holder which I have never had to do ever with any other vehicle I've owned. Then to found out the insurance they put on the vehicle is 7 insurance.. guess who owns that company y12 and ornl. So they are making money any way they can't by screwing the customers. So beware before you try to use them for loans.

I have worked with several banks in the Knoxville area, both Credit Union and Local banks. My overall experience with both the business and personal side has been top shelf. I can see why they are flourishing in a uncertain financial market and is leaving the local competition behind.

I LOVE this bank! I have been with them for a few years and just today I learned I made a terrible mistake of depositing a check the night before and paid my bills immediately because I assumed the funds were in my account…I woke up this morning and found my account seriously in the negative! The check had a hold. I came in and the young guy was SO kind and helpful and he got Jenny the manager who is a SAINT! They got rid of the fees and helped me so much, I’ve never wanted to hug a bank teller and manager until this very moment because my mistake could have cost me a ton of money and they were so understanding and helpful, I will forever be a grateful y12 member. Thanks so much Jenny and kind guy whose name I didn’t get but wish I did!

Great staff will try to fix any issues if they can. I have had 2 issues that where resolved quickly. Upper management should look at some of the policies that make the branches have to struggle with service.

We had a last minute emergency in closing for a house, and needed to make a deposit, and get some documents in a timely manner. WHITNEY, thank you SO MUCH for being so friendly, helpful, and personable with us! There is nothing better than friendliness and affability in a time of stress, and Whitney gave that to us. After dealing with another bank that was not helpful at all, Y-12 and Whitney was our saving grace. I cannot express my appreciation enough. Thank you Whitney and Y-12!
