The staff is always efficient, kind, and available.
They always behave as if they're glad you're shopping with them-- unlike the bigger box stores who treat you like you should be grateful they allow you to shop there at all.
There's no self check out (YAY), they employ local folks providing jobs to those who need them.
They have a wide selection and if they don't have it- they'll order it for you.
The produce is always fresh...and affordable.
Better yet, shopping at Piggly Wiggly isn't an assault on the senses.....or the pocket-book.

The Piggly Wiggly in Lafayette has a history of price gouging, and folks are getting fed up with it. I can understand that they have to make a profit, but when they more than double the prices of the other stores, in some cases triple, they show just what type of business owners they really are. Such a shame...!

People are always great. They have some items you can’t get anywhere else in the area, like open pit bbq sauce and Vernors ginger ale.
