This is a great little state park with some good points of interest. We camped and the spot we were in had water/electric and the site was level and easy to get into. The check-in process was a weird because they don't allow check-ins until 3 pm and the office closes at 4 pm, so there is only a one-hour check-in window. We got there at 4:30 and had to come back the next day and check-in. We had a reservation so we were able to go on to our spot for the night but if you don't have a reservation and miss the one-hour check-in window you're out of luck.

I think this is one of the best Tenn state parks. I have a 5th wheel camper and had an awesome site right by a small stream. During the week the place is quiet, but on weekend every site will be full. Nice spacious sites, only thing missing is sewerage. The park has a ton of wildlife, hiking trails, restaurant, lake fishing, disc golf. You are also less then 1 hour away from Jack Daniel's distilleries. It is a very relaxing place.Playground: multiple playgroundsRestrooms: very clean

The park is nice, but please be so careful - the trail across from the museum goes through a stream. As I walked across, my entire leg fell straight down into a hole between rocks, all the way to my waist. The water was only a couple of inches deep and it just looked like regular creek bed. I am contacting the park to notify them as well - this would have been incredibly dangerous had it happened to a child.

We spent 4 days here in a cabin and all I can say is, "WOW!" Tennessee has the most beautiful state parks and their accommodations DO NOT disappoint!!! There were 7 of us and 2 puppers we had MORE than enough room in the cabin. We spent our days on the trails, discovering waterfalls, the museum, covered bridge, old iron bridge, floating bridge, nightly fire pit shenanigans and just enjoying the beauty from our balcony.David Crockett State Park is NOT to be missed.

This is one of my husbands favorite campgrounds. We stay here several times a year. The restrooms are always clean, there are washer/dryers in campground 2 if you need them (for a whole $1 each). Lots of trails and the lake is fun for kayaking - sadly I never seem to catch any fish here but overall its a great place to camp, unwind, & get away from the crazy world and experience Gods beautiful handiwork. Campground 1 or 2 have some great sites - depending on your preferences.

Fun Sunday at David Crockett State Park! Dog friendly and easy trails to walk on. A part of the Trail of Tears is here as well. They have a Bird Aviary and a museum too.

Quiet and peaceful. Lots of room to hike, ride bikes, or walk the many trails.

We had an incredible Night Hike with ISR Abby Harris! She was incredibly knowledgeable, answered every question and taught us so much! She was so even kind as to loan her personal head lamp, so we could have more views of the nocturnal creatures here at the beautiful park. The guided night hike is a must! The campground in the park is so well maintained, both on primitive and RV sites. Thank you to all those that keep this park so well preserved & inviting.

Great place for camping, hiking and having a wonderful time getting away from the city. A few playgrounds for the little ones. Excellent lunch menu! Friendly staff.

Campgrounds were very clean and well maintained. Restrooms/showers very clean and nice. The two waterfalls are a must see. Crockett Falls is easy access and geart for children. The other waterfall is a short flat hike, mossy in the swimming area and rough for small children. No ranger programs, typical of Tenn state parks. No sewer hookups, typical of Tenn state parks.

My family and I had our July 4th cookout late. It was about 4 days late. This happens when you have a family. We used one of the parks grills and had grilled chicken, hambugers, hot dogs, and watermelon. My son and son-in-law know how to run the grills. It was all very good.We can't get together very often but when we do, we make it well worth it.My youngest grandson has never been in the rain until now. He loved it.Restrooms: We were about to get a good spot that had bathrooms.Picnic area: We place we got had plenty of tables, room to move around, and plenty of room for the children to play.

Great state park for camping. Spots were spacious (camp ground #2, spot 58). We camped in an RV. Our spot had water and electric; no sewer. Beautiful views with hiking, water fall, bike riding, etc. I gave 4 stars and not 5 because we arrived on a Saturday and the camping registration building was closed; as was the museum. The camp ground only had 1 dump station which was at the exit . It got kinda busy and backed up when trying to leave. Beautiful place though and we plan to come back.

This is our favorite camping place. We have tent camped and now we have a camper and love it. We do miss the Olympic size pool being open so bad. We would come more if the pool was available. That was the icing on the cake! Please open it again! Restrooms/showers are clean. Campground 1 is our favorite but limited on spots if your 33ft. Campground 2 has great spots but it's not near the water.
