“Stop #340 Lookout Mountain TN Post Office sitting up on top of the mountain has change quite a bit over the years. Found some early picture of it in one of the museum in the area one from 1901 and the other from 1905. Great service and was very clean.”

“Such wonderful customer service! I was just in there to mail a package to my son in the army. Unfortunately a package i had mailed 10 days prior had not made it to him, yet, but I'd accidently thrown away the tracking numbers. The lady at the counter took her time, narrowed it down, and found it! That's truly going above and beyond, and I appreciate it so much!”

“Just wanted to give recognition to Eric, the postman on my route. He's always friendly and has treats for the fur babies. He goes above and beyond making sure we get our packages. He doesn't stuff them in the mail box like others do, bending and damaging items! He walks them to the front door and always speaks when I see him! Good people excelling at their jobs don't get enough praise so keep doing a great job Eric!!... Our route notices and appreciates the job you do!!! ?????”

“I have found Kim and other counter employees here to be courteous, knowledgeable, efficient and personable on every occasion. I choose this location over other options. My regular mail carrier always brings packages that don’t fit in the box down my long driveway to my porch! He is courteous and respectful. Very grateful for these employees at this location.”

“This is one of the most interesting Post Office that I've seen lately. #342 PO visit was first established in 1817 with the current building built in 1931. The city was named after Cherokee Indian Chief John Ross, who resided there until being forced to relocate with his people to Oklahoma on the Trail of Tears. Chief Ross was the first Postmaster for Rossville.”

“Post Office Tour stop #336 was the East Chattanooga Station. It was a nice clean office were the people were nice and very helpful. This building was dedicated to service in 1998 however could not find out much more than that for this office. However, I did find out that Stations were established not only to keep pace with cities' population growth but also when formerly independent Post Offices were discontinued and converted to stations of a larger nearby Post Office. Sometimes this was done
to provide free mail delivery to customers, since initially residents of only the most populous cities were eligible for free delivery.”

“I am a small business owner and ship packages everyday. I had an issue with a suspicious customer who kept claiming her packages were not getting delivered. I called the signal mountain post office and spoke to Angela. She was SO KIND, and so helpful. These postal workers are so busy, work so hard and deal with so much. It was so refreshing to speak to a true professional. Angela helped me track the package and figure out the issue. I am so grateful for USPS and their tremendous service. Thank you!”

“Excellent service on all levels. The employees of the Chickamauga Georgia post office are always friendly and willing to assist. Recently, my packages were mistakenly delivered to the wrong address. When notified, Carla went above and beyond locating my packages and delivered them to my home. I could not have asked for a quicker or better response.”

“they take me and my packages as serious as they reasonably can.

i have to work with 6 different locations and their respective usps that deliver to them in tennessee and 3 of them in the chattanooga area, when i have an important package, i MAKE SURE the address i use is for the business close to this location so i can have peace of mind. even when it gets held by the post office i know its in good hands.

Usps isnt perfect but this location is probably the most dependable one ive worked with.

your talking about people that can be having the shittiest day, deal with the worst customer, and when you walk in the frustration might even be visible SOMEtimes, but lets be honest EVERYONE THAT LEFT A BAD REVIEW WOULDNT HELP ANYONE W ANYTHING IF THEY WERE FRUSTRATED.

but at this usps location they still GET IT DONE. ✅

So don’t be a bitter hater, if your patience is that of a child and you cant afford to pay for priority, when things don’t go perfect and you catch a fit it means your a loser

doesnt have anything to do with the people at this location.”

“I lost my wallet, with my passport in it, less than a week before I was due to travel overseas. I was a panicked mess. Michael found my wallet, tracked me down, and got it mailed back to me as fast as possible. Such a kind person, I can't thank him enough!!”

“PO stop #335 was the Highland Park Station of Chattanooga TN. Highland Park was a small town about 2 miles from downtown. It was annexed into Chattanooga in 1929. Could find no cornerstone or marker to say when this building was built. It was very clean and in good shape. I sure the people here work very hard but like all of us are never given the time or extra help to get it all done.”

Anytime I have come in with a pre marked package/certified envelope they quickly pull me from the line and get me out the door with my receipt. Much respect and appreciation!”

“We missed a delivery and tried to intersept it at the local transfer station. The delightful lady who assisted us had the brightes attitude and kindest smile. My wife was desperately looking for this delivery and when the lady gladly went to to the back and was able to find it for us before it was returned to the sende, truly our hero! Fantastic experience :)”

“PO tour #337 stop by Hixson PO which is a nice and clean Post Office that the people work hard and as usual or short staff and just trying to keep up. While reading about this office it was interesting to read about the past and learn it was initially slated to be merged into the Chattanooga Post Office, but community efforts secured the preservation of the Hixson ZIP code (37343) and mailing address, which is still used today. Keep up the good work some of us know that if the PO ever goes private there will be no end to how much shipping will go up.”
