Lovely people! They fixed a 68-year-old diamond and garnet engagement ring in only a couple if hours and for less than $100. I'd been told $1400 and a one-month turnaround!!! Thank you very much, Richard's Jewelry Repair.

These folks were fantastic! I took several family pieces that were in sad condition, from years of wear. They took time to talk with me and offer suggestions. The repairs were remarkable. When I picked them up, they went over each piece and explained the repair. I can't say enough about the outstanding service I received. I will definitely return to them in the future for any needs and recommend them ? ?.

I inherited a significant amount of jewelry from my mother and grandmother that after 2 years, I finally forced myself to go through it all. I was referred to Richard's by a family member that is from Lynchburg thinking they might help me decipher what was valuable and repair some of the very old and sentimental pieces. I called ahead and spoke with a gentleman explaining to him the situation and that I had a very large amount of jewelry. He told me they could help and I could come in that day (Friday Oct 7). I let him know I was about an hour away but he'd know who I was by the suitcase of jewelry I'd be carrying in, he laughed and told me to come on. Clearly he understood I had an unusually large amount. I get there and there's a lady sitting on the front steps smoking a cigarette for everyone entering the store to walk through the smoke. She walks in behind me and asks if I'm just looking. I said no I called ahead and spoke with a gentleman explaining my situation. She immediately tells me I will have to leave it because she can't just stop what she's doing to go through that much jewelry. I told her I drove an hour and called ahead to make sure I could be seen. She asked me to open the bag. I did, and I pulled out a couple of boxes. She didn't even look at the jewelry and repeated that I would have to leave it. I told her I didn't mind to leave some but I'd like her to at least take a look at it to see what I needed to leave because I wasn't leaving all of it. She was very rude and combative so I told her I would take it somewhere else. She tells me there's nowhere else that will take it either. I asked her name, she tells me it's Lori. I told her thank you and I left. I called Thompson's jewelry in Tullahoma and they happily took me in and went through the THOUSANDS of dollars of jewelry I had. I left boxes for them to go through and many pieces for them to repair. My daughter is getting a stunning natural diamond ring reset and sized for her birthday, and I cannot wait to give it to her. It was my mother's original engagement ring. And that's just one piece I left. Sorry Lori, you were wrong. And you missed out on some really interesting and valuable jewelry pieces, and business. Oh, and the man that answered the phone when I called was visible and heard my entire conversation with Lori, and never once even came out or looked up to say that he did in fact tell me to come in. But that's ok, it ended up working out great for me. And I will tell everyone I know, including all of my family and friends in Lynchburg about my experience at Richard's jewelry and repair.

Years ago my husband had my beautiful engagement and wedding rings made here. He brought in old stones from his grandmothers to have put in and I think it's been 6-7? years roughly and they're still holding up strong, especially with my clumsy self haha

Got my ring upsized in less than $20 minutes and they did a great job. The only think wrong was a tiny little scratch that only I would ever notice. Would definitely go to them again.

I have used Richard's Jewlery i Lynchburg for over 20 years now. This is the only jeweler I trust to repair my grandmother's 100 year old diamond ring. They have also designed some beautiful rings for me. When my husband lost his matching wedding band, they used my ring as a pattern and did a beautiful ring for my husband. Obviously, the people, with a negative review don't know too much about jewelry or what goes into making a ring from scratch. Like that idiot Vida C. sounds like she's talkinga about a construction company not a jewelry company! This is what is wrong with YELP they don't even look at the reviews they just want words honest or ot to fill the empy space on their website. Pitiful1 Katy O Ishee
