Editing from the future. Since discovering this awesome locally owned and operated shop I've found that there are always locals around visiting and talking. Not only is this a great hardware store, but it's a great place to learn. The old heads hang out and talk about work, the owner and shop keep are more than happy to give you information and advice, and even more impressively, if they know some other place has cheaper prices on working they will let you know.
I talked with the owner for roughly 30 minutes about building sheds and life preferences, and he gave me advice that saved me hundreds of dollars at his own expense. These guys believe in RETAINING customers rather than churning them or like a big box store.
