When our old Sullivan’s pharmacy closed, we were told all of our records and scripts have been sent to Walgreens on Smithville highway. That turned out to be a lie, nothing was transferred. Spent days calling up our doctors to call in new scripts. One of those scripts got sent to this Walgreens on Chancery by mistake and I just figured I’d go with it and get it filled here.My goodness, I did not realize the pharmacist working here was a world renowned physician, and an expert on all medications and diseases. How lucky am I?! The pharmacist, who spoke in broken English with some foreign accent, told me he didn’t believe my wife had the correct dosage on one of her medications and decided to call her physician’s office to challenge it! Her physician’s office, promptly and politely informed him to stay in his lane, and that the prescription was very much in line with what she needed. This took about an extra day to resolve. Then came the fun part. This medication was not fully covered by my insurance. It never has been, but it was cheap, I didn’t ever care before. Over at our old Sullivan’s pharmacy that closed, we were paying $29 bucks a month for this medication outside of the insurance. At Walgreen’s, this same medication was now $450, no joke. This launched more phone calls I had to make to my insurance company to see if I can somehow get authorization now to get some medicine my wife has been taking for years, because I can’t afford to get it at this new pharmacy any more. After I got tired of the abuse I was getting at Walgreens, I transferred all of our medications to an independent pharmacy literally a 1/10 a mile down the road. My new cost for this same medication, is now $35 dollars, again outside of the insurance. That should give you an idea of the kind of rear end abuse you will get at Walgreens. Literally 10x the retail cost, and for that extra money, you get some foreign sounding pharmacist who wants to get into your space and tell you what medications you should be allowed to get. Um,, yeah…let me think about that, ummm no thanks!Over at the other Walgreens, 2 miles down the road, the same story played out, with just different medications and a different jerk behind the counter. The pharmacists at both of the Walgreens in town are told, by their corporate overlords, that they are free to challenge anyone that walks in the door on any medication, and they love to do that. It’s a sick sport for them! Roadblock after roadblock, delay after delay, all in the name of making some faceless, soulless Walgreens employee amused at your misery over how much power they wield over you.Go to Walgreens website and see if you can find the name of a pharmacist at any location. All they do is publish their names by first name and last initial. So you have to ask then, why do they proudly identify their head pharmacist only by his last initial on their website? Do you go to any health care professional that won’t tell you their last name? Just speaking from a good faith perspective, does that seem like a “Red Flag”?). Is it because they themselves have something to hide? I mean seriously, if a pharmacist wants to crawl up your butt on your medications, then he/she is inserting themselves into your health care, and when was the last time you had your health care decisions made by someone who won’t even identify themselves by their last name? Nope, not me, that’s a big old red flag. I’ll pass on that experience.Read the neg reviews, I go into more detail on the review I left for the Walgreens down the street. Fire these corporate jokers and go to a real independent, family owned, pharmacy in this town. This is still America, you are free to go to any pharmacy you want, you do not have to come here! There's still some independent pharmacies here that you should support, that will provide you and your family with so much more help and care then you will find at any Walgreens that is staffed by these rude, inconsiderate, and downright disrespectful people. For me, never again!

Veteran here. I have a brain injury. And I take a certain medicine daily. They gave me a partial refill. But, they didn't tell me that I have to wait exactly 30 days regardless of amount in prescription. So I am borderline narcaleptic from being blown up by a 200 lbs IED. And I ran off the side of the road because I was without medicine with no fault of my own for 2 days. They were cruel to me. Made me feel like I had a problem when I don't. When the problem lies with the staff. Especially the head pharmacist. Almost like she is a sadist. That's how they made me feel. Messed up.

2yrs later they are still terrible. Went to fill a medicine the phones are still down, they called to tell me it was filled then get there and not filled. The employees ignored me for over 10 min. They didn’t have my medicine so having to come back a 2nd time for it and they are so rude. I would go to any pharmacy in town other than either Walgreens. Been years since had med filled and I remember why nowThe people inside except for one older blows grayish hired lady are rude. I just called about my stomach acid pills today and bc ins only pay for 1 not 2 pills a day )I’ve been on 1 pill a day for 2 year) doc just decided to wrire more afte I told I could adopted an extra $150 a mont. so they refused to fill prescription at all I mean would give me one stomach acid pill and I’m like in major pain and I am not supposed to go one day without it. She said “not my problem”. Wow. Isn’t that the definite of your problem I have a balid prescription that need to be filled and you refused Photonics ain’t crack. Could give me for 1 a day give those and let me sort out the second bc when you have her, gastritis, and IBS 1 heartburn pill is better than none. !but I have to suffer until the specialist reopens and writes it for two scripts whole time I am in constant pain. Which I told thee doc day 1 when on Tenncare we can’t afford a $200 a month pill. I was just gonna get a weak cheap one at night and script in day which pharmacist said would work. But it was this ladies meanness in voice. It was her rudeness in telling me not my problem no sh but you work at place that has solutions so maybe I don’t know pass it to someone who can call a doc or do something to help a 10 year customer. I’m switching pharmacies oh and get this I was told they lost all my prescriptions. Meaning I was due for my HRT therapy shot tomorrow and they have no record I ever had one!!! Been on them 14 years!

I ask why and was treated awful talked down to and then they have been over charging me for years. Will never be back . Walgreens you need to hire someone that knows what there doing . I have been giving someone else meds ,they have gave mine to other people that's against HIPPA . The pharmacist and techs are like a bunch of kids . Never be back need to learn how to treat people and the laws and regulations of Tennessee. This place is a joke.

The pharmacy had actually closed at 6pm on Friday and by my surprise wasn't to open until MONDAY. I was unable to pick up my prescription that had been faxed over and due to the type of medication could not have it moved to any other open location. Due to this I've had to go unmedicated the entire weekend , HOWEVER , the cashier was very helpful and kind and seemed compassionate as she explained the unusual hours of operation at this location.

I hate both walgreens only reason I went to them is so I could use it in other places due to my job. Well that didn't work cause it's over state lines how stupid is that. So I have to make a special trip home to go to pharmacy. This place just needs to close

These clowns will closed the blinds on you at exactly 1:30 for lunch, even after seeing you setting in line for 15 minutes. I come back when they're supposedly opened back up, and they're 8 minutes late opening Worst customer service ever. Just give them your money and git gone. They clearly don't care about the customers or thier time.

Customer service is the worse, people in the pharmacy think they are better than the rest of us so look and talk down to customers, they are rude, no answers questions and what little information they give you is in a bad manner and way, hrs such because now short hrs and no weekends, I guess they will do better just being an store and removing all the pharmacy part, pharmacist and technicians that are the bad employees they got. Will change but so far I'm force to stay with them, hopefully not too long. They should close and get ride of all those bad and RUDE employees. Not making it up you can ask all town and they all think same, walgreens pharmacy employees are horrible, the less you have to deal with them the better, stubborn mules that don't even listen to the customer, what they want, need, or informationI know I'm right but because she doesn't even want to listen for being 5 mins before closing time she just preferred to be rude and make something up ao she could hung up and just go home, normally I stay quiet like majority of all this abused and made fun customers, because I have heard them answered phones then made fun of customer questions, issues or what they said which is unprofessional and part of HIPPA violation too for being talking in front of others that can hear medical information. I'm in HR and I would terminate almost everybody in the pharmacy department at this store
