So, Joann's has been a favorite of mine for years. I spend plenty of coins on jewelry beads and sewing material. An order was placed for 3 yards of metallic fabric. The order was placed online. It was canceled due to the item not being in inventory. I decided to call the store and inquire about other options. A nice lady from fabric answered and I made my inquiry. She came back and said there were 3 other similar items. From no where a new voice is on the phone. The person's name is Kathy. Kathy stated Joann's hadn't carried any gold tone fabrics in months. I asked if the previous person checked the floor when I was told there were options or using the pc. Kathy skips over my question so I posed it again. I thought it was pretty logical considering if I ordered online then called the store, this is likely something I need. Kathy says I apologize if you perceive me as being "short" with you but I am the person that checks the floor. The next thing I experienced was Kathy saying "have a nice day" and hung up the phone.
Hmmm, so I am thinking that Joann's must be one hell of an employer for Kathy to fill so free and entitled to hang up on clients.
I called back and asked for the store manager and lo and behold, I was told it's Kathy Clark. Now I am not if the last name given is accurate, but Kathy for sure.
With all the options available to consumers and the suffering that brick and mortar stores are having, Joann's is a company that hires people like Kathy. Kathy is one of those people who are rude at there core but masters up a polite sounding voice under the guise of being professional.
I'm sure I am not the only person she has hung up on. She did it with such comfort as if it is written in company policy that Joann's supports such behavior. I can only imagine if she really is the store manager that Kathy is nice-nasty to customers daily and the staff of the store. I'm willing to bet that Kathy is single or has a very unhappy husband at home.
Joann's, if Kathy represents your company culture with such loose expectations for customer service and professionalism and no regard for customers where Kathy feels so secure in her job to release a call and cannot answer basic questions....Joann's will find itself fighting to survive.
Thanks Kathy for your rudeness, disregard, and unprofessionalism!
You're a real champ for Joann's.

The older African American woman that works here is rude for no reason. I needed assistance finding a product. When I couldn’t find it the first time and went back to her for help she huffed and puffed in my face because apparently I was such a bother to her. Needless to say I didn’t find what I needed and took my business elsewhere

It’s gotten really expensive so you need to know how to use your coupons to best advantage. Overall that means waiting till something is not on sale and then using a 50% off coupon if that’s available that week.

Passive aggressive employee older white gentleman slammed my car door. I waited 30+ mins outside for curbside pickup (I understand they’re busy sometimes it can take a while) and I called because I thought maybe I didn’t correctly notify them through the app that I was there and a young lady answered and said she’d bring my stuff right out. I kept looking towards the entrance to see if they were coming and noticed a sign near there that said curbside pickup and so I decided to pull up because I think that’s where you’re supposed to park now? From what I knew is you parked in the regular parking spots and they’d take your stuff to you I’ve done curbside a bunch of times and this was new to me. So I understand if it was my mistake for not parking upfront. When I was headed to the front that male employee was coming out and I new it was my order because it was a huge bag and well he asked for my id and asked to open my door which is fine but before he left he slammed my door. Not like an accidental oops I closed the door too hard this was HARD like when you’re in an argument slam and I jumped because it caught me off guard. I’m sorry to that man if I upset you by making you take out my curbside pickup order .. I work in crafts and when I got the notification my order was ready I got up and drove 40mins to my favorite store it’s extremely convenient to have to choice of curbside because that way I don’t have to get off my card in my dirty work clothes. But it will be the last time I come here. I come here 2-4 time a month for yarn because the selection is like no other. But I’d rather drive to Southaven because I don’t need to be treated like that when all I ever am is kind to people.

The last 2 times I've been to the store, the staff was unprofessional and rude! Today the store opened late and I was greated with nasty comments. I'm glad I have a choice! Why do these individuals still have jobs? OWNERS...are you paying attention?!

Just tried to come to the store at 3pm november 7th and there was a sign saying they were closed from 2:30pm to 5pm. I would understand if it was for a 30 minute break. But 2 and a half hours? With employees walking inside the store?

I have just recently moved to Memphis, and was a little disappointed that there were only 2 locations in the general vicinity. JoAnn has always been my go to destination for all things craft. This location, though new & beautiful, is the worst ever. Why? The employees are all rude & dismissive. Today I drove quite a way out of my way, at 1030 on a weekday. There is a sign on the door that said they were closed because they were receiving a delivery. No worries, I wandered around Sprouts next door for 30+ minutes. The sign is still on the door. This is just bad management. Do better, Joann, or you've lost my business forever.

Store hours are wrong. The lady who opened the door today9/18 was unprofessional and when she thought I left the store my husband witnessed her bad mouthing us and other customers to another employee. Do better Ma’am. Don’t let my looks have you stereo typing me. I was raised with manners and respect SISTA!

I do like this store and everything they have, but the worker who helped me cut my fabric, Verna, was extremely rude for no reason. I tried to respond with kindness and respect, but it only seemed to make her increasingly rude. She was also rude to my sweet little grandma. The supplies here is great and the girl who checked me out the past two times, Hannah, is wonderful, but Verna really put a damper on the whole trip.
