All they care about is money. I was holding my 57 pound dog while they looked at me like I was crazy and did not help. My dog had a completely messed up paw had to get 15 stitches from another place and instead of making the situation better for me and my baby. All they told us was fill out paperwork, understandable but we needed support in the moment and this veterinary “specialist” definitely didn’t do their job. Horrible customer service especially at the front desk. Before even doing anything to my dog they told us it would be 1,400 for everything. Another vet only charged LESS then 400$ for everything and treated us with such respect and love! Definitely do not come here.

Dr. Brown and her assistant, Kavia, are so wonderful! We live out of state and started our immunotherapy testing and serum treatments for our middle aged dog almost a year ago and moved away. We continue to work remotely with Dr. Brown and Kavia via email and phone to arrange shipments to where we live. Immunotherapy is a long process to ensure success. Never had any issues with any of our serum shipments since they must be shipped 24 hour and remain chilled at refrigeration temperatures.
Continued care, support and teamwork with our primary vet.

Dr. Huey has provided great care for our cat's eye. She quickly diagnosed him and gave us a plan of action for dealing with his eye issues. She was very kind, gentle and caring.

We drove from Little Rock with a dachshund with IVDD who needed immediate surgery. They got us in, kept us informed, and made the process as stress-free as possible. Everyone we encountered was friendly and compassionate.

My dog hurt himself while we were visiting Memphis from Florida, we went to the emergency care in Cordova, they got him in quickly, the vet was very professional and thorough. All the staff was kind and concerned. Clean hospital with easy access.

Have had two pets here for two surgeries and they could not have been more professional or friendly! Called when my dog was going under anesthesia and again when the surgery was done. Called again that night to give an update and then again in the morning. I never worried at all about the level of care my dogs would receive. When my border collie mix was in for a follow up with the oncologist and I was out of town she allowed my friend to include me via video chat on his phone so I could hear her first hand and ask questions. They aren't the least expensive in town but they are certainly outstanding if you have a need your regular vet cannot fulfill.
And the emergency clinic staff are great too. I know it's a separate company, but they do wonderful work. If you have a pet that has to stay overnight the staff at PetMed are happy to answer your call and give you an update on your pet.

I didn’t get there in time to save my Naila, but the staff here were so supportive and caring. I was an am devastated over the loss, but their kindness and understanding was everything I needed to keep it together that night. I highly recommend this place!

8/28/2024 Review:
Memphis Veterinary Specialists continue to produce 1-star results.
My dog is being treated being treated by Angel Cancer Care Clinic for her IVDD (Vibervertebral Disk Disease) and the team at Angel Care have requested all documents to be sent to them so that they can treat my girl accordingly. Memphis Veterinary Specialists said they had recently undated their computer systems and that all files would be sent over to Angel Care, but nothing was produced. Today, 8/28/2024, I started an email chain with them and their stance has completely changed. Memphis Veterinary Specialists claim they are completely unable to view x-rays that were taken by themselves. HOW CONVENIENT... So, because Memphis Veterinary Specialists updated their computer system I am unable to access valuable records that I paid good money for.
AGAIN: AVOID MEMPHIS VETERINARY SPECIALISTS LIKE THE PLAGUE! THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS AND CHEATS! THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER CLINICS IN THE MEMPHIS AREA! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND NOR VISIT MEMPHIS VETERINARY SPECIALISTS AGAIN. THEY MAY LOOK NICE ON THE OUTSIDE BUT THAT'S BECAUSE THEY'RE CHARGING EXUBERANT AMOUNTS FOR SERVICES. THEIR TEAM ON THE OTHER HAND IS INCAPABLE. I FIRMLY BELIEVE MEMPHIS VETERINARY SPECIALISTS IS THE WORST.
2022 Review:
AVOID!
Jaxie S. - Thank you so much for representing your facility in the worst possible way.
I would highly recommend reaching out to another facility!

Dr. Bayliss is excellent! Cali was very sick and we were referred by Dr. Heather Daw(also excellent) from Banfield. Dr. Bayliss was able to complete more extensive tests and give us a diagnosis. Cali has improved tremendously under the care of these two caring vets.
Just 1 month ago Cali wasn’t able to hold her head up. She quit eating and could barely walk or stand. It was terrifying. The photos are a few days old.

If you care about your pet do not take them to this place. All they care about is money! They won’t listen to your concerns. They will give you a list of things they will be doing but don’t do and your pet will die because of their neglegence .

Our cat's urinary tract was blocked. He had to have surgery to live, but the vet I took him to said it wouldn't work and suggested he be euthanized. I knew it would work because his litter mate had it done and is still doing well 8 years later, so I called MVS to ask if they would do it. They said they would, so I got the referral from the other, reluctant vet. My cat is SO much better and thriving! It's hard to believe he'd be dead if I'd taken the advice of that other vet.
MVS is very costly, but they are true specialists and have equipment others don't have. They're professional and thorough and it was worth it for our "little guy".
Update: its been 5 yrs since the surgery, and our cat is still doing very well.

This had to be the worst experience! I took my Mastiff to them at 2am because he wasn't eating and something was obviously wrong. While signing in someone came in after me with another dog(who seemed to be in much better condition than mine) that needed a surgery. While waiting in the back room I was informed that the other dog had "priority" and there is only one doctor available. The guys exact words where "at the look of him he can make it to see a general vet during regular hours". So even though there were two ladies hanging out at their car in the parking lot when I pulled up and other people working, no one except the doctor could see him. I took the guys advice and went home, unfortunately Buck didn't make it through the night and I had to bury him the next day. This was a very sad day in my house hold, especially for my 9 year old son who has grown up with this dog. I understand death is a natural part of life, but what upsets me is the fact that this could have possibly been prevented if more knowledgeable people where at this facility.

Money! Money! Money! That’s all that they care about! The moment I walked in and explained my dogs situation I was told that I had to pay a 500 dollar deposit up front. Second, the doctor got an attitude with me because I told her that I didn’t feel comfortable with them doing an X-ray because they charged me and did one before and told me that nothing was wrong with my dog lungs, but the same day we took him to another hospital and they said that he had a severe case of pneumonia. Third, they are always trying to hold me hostage. They don’t want me going to my car, parking lot or nothing, but they let other groups go and come as they please and I have to explain to them every time “ I’m only going to get some water or take a phone call”. I had a 1400 medical bill and still had to put my baby boy down the same day! ?

You are in an animal ophthalmologist office with incredible expertise and as my great vet said she has better equipment . She is awesome friendly and informative. I trust her. She is very open with procedures and percentages. I like them. The dog loves them.
