If I could leave less than a 1 star review I most absolutely would. I brought my dog in with GI upset and moderate lethargy. He possibly ingested snow salt hours prior to the visit. However I'm unsure.I have no clue the brand nor any information about the snow salt. I was told by them to contact Poison control before they could do a physical exam. I was unaware poison control was $99. I proceeded to bring my dog in for assessment without contacting poison control due to my lack of information about what he may have possibly ingested. Snow salt was a guess. There were 2 ladies up front. Who didn't care about my dog well being and proceeded to be rude because I did not call poison control. I asked them to please just do the physical exam because I'm worried about the GI issues and constant vomiting. I even explained how his gums were not normal. They were slightly pale with >3 for color to return. She kept saying it's going to be more than $175 I proceed to say that's fine, I'm prepared to pay for the medication he needs plus physical exam. I've been in the veterinary industry for over 4 years myself and I've never witnessed a vet office decline services because I did not contact poison control. I left unsatisfied and disappointed. With a sick dog My dog will be seeing his primary vet tomorrow. I will never under any circumstances bring my dog back to this location it was just the closest to me. I was previously in the vet industry and I heard complaints all the time about mvs ER department but I didn't realize how unacceptable it was until I experienced it first hand. I will most definitely be contacting management. I wouldn't want anybody else to experienced what I have. Also in the process of me leaving, both ladies decided it would be professional to make rude comments and talk about me.

The people were so nice and the service was excellent! They did a great job and quickly determined what was going on with our sweet boy. I would 1000% recommend them!

$1500 and an overnight stay-no meds sent home. Told me he would be fine by end of day. My four month old puppy died. While the people were nice, "mystery" diagnosis and no meds and the price, all for him to pass? I am heartbroken and feel like my dog was neglected, with no meds. You guys said and I still have the message, that he was fine, eating. I picked him up and he was lethargic all day. He was misdiagnosed and now he's gone and I'm left with an out of pocket expense of $1500 and my puppy is gone. This place has gone downhill and I will not be back.

They misdiagnosed me and caused my death. Musculoskeletal injury was their diagnosis. I had lymphoma.

I’d give a zero if I could. My cat was attacked by a bully on Thursday afternoon and I couldn’t get her treatment until Friday morning. She was bit so hard she couldn’t walk on her leg and was howling whenever I touched it. Apparently the nurse on staff thought she was “stable” and didn’t communicate to me that she was. I waited 30 minutes and didn’t see a doctor. They came into the room after I asked how long it was going to be and said “the doctors are making rounds, so it’s going to be at least 45 minutes before you see a doctor, they’re dealing with critical patients in the back” so I said I was just going to go somewhere else cause she needed help immediately. They came back and said “the nurse before said she’s stable so you’re free to go”. I just wanted to make sure my cats leg wasn’t broken and I told this new nurse that and that I wanted an X-ray and her attitude changed after that. Not sure if she was getting it set up but I waited another 10 minutes before just leaving. I didn’t trust them with my cat and i had to wait until the next morning to take her to her to the Arlington Pet Hospital where she ended up getting sedated with drain tubes put in. She needed help that night and the staff at this hospital didn’t seem to care. They offered no pain medication or antibiotics. They didn’t offer to wrap her up either. Seems like this happens a lot and they get called out on it because they had a sign on the wall saying “disrespect, harassment will not be tolerated”. Not exactly something you want to see in a hospital room. Do better. Care about the pets and not about the money.

I rushed my baby to this vet emergency hospital and I had a emergency fund that I pay for for my pets and it was going to cover her visit or $3,000 of it and I would have to pay the rest and money if it costed more and they even called the company and verified it and they still wouldn't save my puppy because I didn't have $500 to pay them up front. I couldn't help that I had just paid them over $500 a couple hrs before due to her having a stomach problem and I didn't have anymore money on me and I was waiting on my new bank card to come in the mail. I told them I would go get them cash when it got day time because it was 12 at night I couldn't help that but they could've helped my puppy I'm really hurt that I had to bring my baby home to die because nobody would help her and I even carried her to another vet that night and neither would help her because I couldn't pay them $500 before hand and they both acted like I refused to let them treat her and in reality I begged them to help her and told them I wasn't leaving her I would have money brought to them at daylight but no I lost my baby over people who care more about money than saving a animal.

Unfortunately I had to say goodbye to my first baby last night. Although the wait time was above average ( which is out of their control) the staff did everything possible to safe my Tj. They were very kind supportive and caring and more than accommodating from the frantic call, the struggle of watching my doggie fight to stay here, the diagnosis, the final decision, lastly my final goodbye. I know he’s safe and not in pain anymore. I am thankful for the team I met on 1/13 for helping me through this tough time and providing my dog with peace.

I took my kitten there last night, 8/22 because he was having trouble breathing.I explained that I couldn’t pay until Friday and the receptionist told me, while the nurse was standing there that they wouldn’t see Milo until I gave them $500.I again told them I didn’t have that kind of money at the moment. They refused treatment and my poor kitten has been suffering all night. Just waiting for a vet to open now who will help.Shame on all of you who work there.Profit over an animal’s well being.

My review was removed. Please do not bring your pet here. My friend dog died due to malpractice. He had a respiratory distress due to a medication the doctor decided to give to him. No one explained to us side effects and reasons to give that medication to him. We visited the clinic for a constipation and we ended up with a death. The staff is rude. They care only about money. I requested x-rays they performed that night - no answer. The clinic sent me the discharge instructions the day after the dog died. Avoid this emergency clinic. Do it for your pet.

The nurse/doctor that “took care” of my dog was so rude . She just was slamming things and when we asked for the total price she just rolled her eyes and ignored us .

Greatly appreciate the care and concern they gave to my dog and myself upon arrival. Large comfortable waiting area and friendly staff make the best of a bad situation. Thanks again PetMed for taking care of my puppy NYX!

I realized our cat had a bite on his head Saturday night that was infected. I got up Sunday morning and called the clinic 8 a.m. sharp to see if he could be treated today. We showed up and parked and I called the clinic again to let them know we were there. They asked me to fill out an online first patient form (which I did) and told me they’d come get him when he’s up next. I then waited in the car for two hours with my toddlers and cat before I called back to get an estimated wait time. They then informed me the wait time is 3-4 hours and if I leave to come back our place will be lost. I’ve never left a review before but communication is everything! The front desk should have communicated immediately how long the wait time is instead of leaving us waiting for an hour.

I’m sitting here in the parking lot with a very sick cat who was diagnosed with diabetes this morning on the advice of the on-call vet at our regular clinic, after he has continued to go downhill following a morning visit to our vet.Jaxie says that the wait will be six hours and that the vets will decide who gets seen next. No intake by a technician has been done yet. Not sure how the vets can make a triage decision. Jaxie also states there are 15 pets being seen. There are six cars in the parking lot, two of which arrived after me.It’s 9:01 p.m. I arrived at 7:30 p.m. My cat is listless and feverish, and hasn’t eaten today. If he’s not dangerously sick now, he will be after sitting here in the parking lot without food, water, or access to a litterbox for the next six hours.By the way, I only know this wait time because I called again after sitting here for 45 minutes after the initial check-in.This isn’t our first visit to this clinic. It has never gone well. No proper triage. Poor diagnoses and ineffective treatments. I’m sitting here watching other people walk in and not be sent back to their cars.Don’t be fooled by the fancy front. This place needs to be shut down.Left here and went to the Emergency Center on Summer Avenue. Immediate and skilled triage, compassionate doctors and technicians. Thanks to the triage, diagnosis and treatment at the Summer Avenue facility, my cat survived his ordeal and continues to recover.

I am grateful that on Christmas Day, an emergency vet was open to help us when we needed it most. PetMed was so kind to us, and took us back to a room immediately, without making us wait. I had called on my way there because our beloved Greyhound had become very ill unexpectedly, and was dying. They told us to come right in.
