I've always loved Dollar General and up until recently I've loved our community location but in the last year in seems they always close early. Whether they tell you it's a plumbing issue or just lock the doors early but it tells a story when they will not turn the sign light on at dark, although I keep telling them it makes them appear closed. I thought the problem might be a different manager I'm not sure. I just know it's definitely changed and I have to drive to Walmart instead. From 5 stars to two I apologize for this it saddens me.

I only shop at this specific Dollar General as a last resort. The staff, in general, couldn't tell you what customer service is even if their lives depended on it. I have found some of the staff to be nice, but not at all helpful. One visit earlier this year really offended me. I am partially deaf and I was having a difficult time understanding an assistant manager. I repeatedly told her I was deaf and repeatedly asked her to get up from the floor behind the counter so I could better understand her. Very simply, she would not. I finally asked her to at least look up so I could see her when she talked. Again, she continued to look at the floor while speaking to me. It was a very frustrating and embarrassing experience. However, I drove to the other side of town to the South Cumberland store and the gentleman there assisted me with my return; he was very helpful and quite sweet.
