Warning! Is there a rating lower than one star?May 2nd I took my Evolution in for a cleaning and replacement of the spool holder and the lower looper which would not auto thread. The man there said they had the BEST technician and it would be repaired properly. After a month I called and she said they had replaced some parts and it still wouldn’t work so they sent it off to Babylock (without my permission) so of course that entailed shipping and more service charges.June 9th I called again, it still wasn’t ready.June 14th I got an email that it was ready. Went in the next day and said I wanted to try it before I left (best thing I ever did.) I started to thread it and she said “That’s not the way to do it” and rudely pushed my hands away! (I started sewing before she was born, taught Home Ec and have sewn on this serger for 1½ years.) So she sat down and tried to thread it, and low and behold it still didn’t work! She had to send it back to Babylock again.June 13 it was finally ready for pick up. This time they replaced the upper looper also which was working when I took it in. Total bill was $332 on a $1000 machine.

Very rude and ignorant owner. Fabric choices were ugly and overpriced. Not a fan of this business. Im not sure who runs it but it needs new management.

I needed a shirring foot for my Triumph serger and so I googled it and found Absolutely Fun Sewing. I called to find out if they had the foot in stock. The customer service was awesome, the 2 people that I talked to went way beyond what was required. Thanks for a great buying experience.

Read the reviews! If I could do zero stars I would. I brought my Babylock machine in for repair. I have been sewing for over 35 years so I'm not new to sewing and embroidery. I tried to explain the problem and said the thread was 2 strand and one strand was snagging and one stayed intact. She took the thread strand from me and said, "This is called thread." I responded with, "I understand that," and I felt she was being condescending but re-explained what the problem was.Well, now to picking it up.I stood while she got my receipt ready and just simply stated that I was all set. I asked what did they find was wrong with it, and she read word for word from the technicians notes that there was a bur on the hook. I asked how there could be since I purchased a brand new one. She just kept snapping back at me that it was a bur on the hook. So I pressed about clarification, and she literally raised her voice to the point of yelling, and I told her there was no need to yell. She came from around the counter and on my machine I pulled the plate away to expose the black bobbin case and she brushed my hand away and took the bobbin case out herself and dropped it on the floor. I told her there is a hook on the black plastic and a hook on the interior metal one. She answered with "if you want to call it a hook, that's fine." The older gentleman standing there said, "I've been doing this for years." Mind you, the lady said the technician who worked on it was "she." So why would he pipe in that he's been doing this for years? He didn't do the work on it.They were extremely rude, she raised her voice, they were both very condescending, just kept saying "you're all set", and acted like they just wanted us gone. My husband was with me and he and I both said, "This is one place we'll never come back to."

Looking at google reviews - take the time to read the one star reviews and I think you will see a theme. Should have done that to begin with.(Today is 3/2) I put my sewing machine in for a tune up on 2/1. It had been in storage so I needed it cleaned and oiled. Was told 2 weeks and expect an email when it was ready. Never heard anything by week 3 so I called. That call went like this:Me: Hello I wanted to check and see if my sewing machine is ready(Barely let me get the last syllable out and had a pretty rude demeanor)Lady: No, it will be ready next week(Never even let me say my name or asked my name)Me: ummm okAwkward silence … hung upThe lady did call me back and leave a cheery VM asking me to call back. I did not. Honestly, I was mad and decided I’ll was going to go up and get it whether it was done or not.I did give it a few more days and went to pick it up. The lady said she thought I was the one that called and I never called her back and I didn’t identify myself.I did tell her she didn’t give me the opportunity to say anything else with her rude response and I was irritated so I didn’t call back.Well that did it, attitude from there on out. Here comes Mrs. Defensive. She said she had a full store when I called - I guess that excuses her rudeness?Did I check my emails - yes.Did I check my junk mail - yes.Well, they sent 3 emails (shrugs shoulders) it’s been done since 2/8.I said a phone call would have been nice. Turns out they typed my email wrong even though I had written it down. That’s fine whatever accidents happen. Overall, She was super rude, snotty, and confrontational over nothing - also, another person was in the store standing right there for the exchange.Either way. I didn’t care it was taking longer. I wasn’t in a rush. I just wanted a tune up and had called to check status when it had been an additional week. Dang this should have been the simplest thing to pick up my machine but was honestly unnecessarily negative. If you need anything sewing related just go to Mid South Sewing a little further down the road. My fault for not wanting to go further into town and stopping at this place.

I asked about Baby Lock questions and maybe I wasn’t clear but I agree with the other customers on how they felt after they visited the shop. I felt stressed from the attitude that I saw. I did not feel warmth like most quilt shops. However they have a nice selection of fabrics, tools and they sell Janine and Babylock.

When your order is received, they put the fabric into their printing device and custom print exactly the amount you ordered. Because of this, it takes a little bit longer to receive your goods, but no longer than some other regular fabric shops. The fabric I received is thin. A lot of light passes through. As far as the look, the designs look exactly as depicted on the web page. I ordered white-on-white, so I can't report on color. Some of the selveges are as wide as 4 - 5 inches, so you aren't getting the full amount of useable material. I haven't unfolded all the pieces so there could be some misprint surprises waiting for me. I ordered some panels, but the fabric is so thin, that I don't know how I can use them unless I underline them with another fabric. You get what you pay for. Learn your lesson and STOP BUYING THINGS FROM FACEBOOK ADS!!!!! :)

This store is absolutely the best store I have ever been to. I along with some of my friends have attended some of the Accuquilt Go events that they have put on with Accuquilt representative doing the presentation. Wow, we we all excited, happy and left with a great product and knowledge of the product! That was just the beginning of what we are planning as a long time relationship with the great owners of this store. After many trips back to the store and leaving each time happy and always pleased with the products when it came time for me to shop for another machine I headed straight to Absolutely Fun Sewing and Embroidery in Murfresboro! They spent time with me answering my questions and helping me make the best decision for me. I came home with a wonderful Babylock Solaris 2. I would highly recommend this store. Just take the time to go visit and you will see great southern hospitality, knowledge of their products and a willingness to help the ones who walk thru their doors. I am one happy girl and will be making more trips to this store.

The lady who runs the shop is really grouchy. The older gentleman was ok though. Extremely limited fabric selection, Walmart has more variety than this. They sell some specialized machine pieces but you can find those elsewhere for less.

This is the first time I have been in the store, although I have spoken to Judith on the telephone several times. The folks that work here are awesome! I felt very comfortable and welcomed! Judith's husband is so nice and helpful to me. I didn't get to meet Judith today, but am looking forward to seeing her in the future. The selection of fabric is some of the most beautiful prints I've seen. This store will be the only one I need in the future. If you're looking for the best place for all of your sewing needs, this one is it!!!!!

Absolutely terrible. Brought in a sewing machine to have repaired. They took the machine and said it has to be sent out for repair. I called and it was thrown away. My wife's first machine and a wedding present. We might sue but not sure at this point. Absolutely Fun Sewing said we made statements we did not make and I know to be completely out of character for my wife. When pushed a little, all they would say is the machine is gone. After we bought an expensive Jerome, I expected a better customer service attitude. Unfortunately, I can't post this without giving a star, so it's one with extreme reservations. Don't use this shop.

They have A LOT of high tech sewing machines on display. They also have a lot of sewing accessories. Wish their fabric selection was more extensive, hence 4 stars from me. But it's still somewhere I would recommend, and it beats the crowds at big name craft stores.
